Let the games begin is a reference from the SAW films, Never seen one myself. Thought it looked good.

I seem to remember your fans laughing at a similar display the Albion laid on for the P.O. semi-finals. What's the difference ?

There are two differences.

1, The palace one is planned and paid for by the fans.
2, Clackers and the words of GOSBTS printed on them.

Whether you like that sort of thing or not it did look pretty good.

The difference is that all of the palace fans are REAL TRUE PROPER FOOTBALL FANS and not the same sort we obviously have down at Brighton.

And why on earth wasn't the game sold out? Maybe there just aren't more than 20000 palace fans left. But at least they are all REAL AND GENUINE.:p

Couldn't care less whether your team last season was better than ours. It certainly isn't now, and we've made £140m from the playoffs which will put us lightyears ahead of you for years to come.

You played Joel Ward, Dean Moxey, Danny Gabbidon, Stephen Dobbie, Aaron Wilbraham, Dwight Gayle, Damien Delaney, Owen (he's shit, you can take him) Garvan and the 58-year-old Kevin Phillips in your first Premier League game of the season :lolol: I genuinely wouldn't have one of those players in our squad. Jedinak was the only player out there that showed any sign of being Premier League class.

Getting back to the thread I enjoyed the game . We seemed to show them too much respect first half but when we bought on the subs we looked more threatening . With a few more signings with a bit more pace and quality I think we could do ok ( well 4 th from bottom ) . It will be intresting reading your threads and unbiased reactions to our every game this season
thanks for posting that shit on BHA message board .................... nothing better to do Dougie

I have to confess displays aren't really my thing, but no, that is the very opposite of plastic. It was entierly planned, paid for and executed by supporters.

Plastic is what you indulged in - an awful corporate decision to put out clappers in a futile effort to generate some kind of atmosphere, while you all joined in like lemmings.

That's why it's soooooooooooooooo bad. A bunch of sad muppets actually spent their own time and money getting together something which looks so amateur - and the rest of you lapped it up. Whereas ours was thought up and paid for by the Club - whether it was good or bad has nothing to do with me or the rest of our supporters.

Nothing to do with plastic. It was really shitty and cringeworthy though.

Plastic is having supporters only turning up to play off finals or when 'their' team get into the premiership. Brighton can't have any of those due to sell outs in the Championship.

Thats what made it so bad...if your own fans had tried something it would have been better than that....I hope?

Well, no. If you don't like that sort of thing, by the nature of not liking that sort of thing, it didn't look pretty good at all.

Looking forward to palace getting some right hidings this year . I'm sure they will pick up points and have a few spells but once the euphoria has worn off its going to be great viewing watching there faces on motd each week. Nice to not have them in our league as well as threads can be kept to a minimum area to take the mick
