I watched from the roof of the tea hut on the East Stand. The day I realised I was an Albion fan having arrived in Brighton in 75 unaware that Brighton even had a football team! Long distance Spurs fan since I was 8 when I moved to Brighton. Quite a bit of aggro I seem to remember

My birthday treat, myself and 3 friends, in the north stand.

My parents did a great job protecting us…..

Yes in the NS, age 13. My best friend was with me, he spent his first 10 years living next to WHL, so when some scummy 25 year old Londoners asked us some Spurs questions thinking they’d then beat up small kids, the accurate answers rolled off his tongue.

A football lover, I still enjoyed the game, we tore them apart, the icing on the cake MacAllister’s sending off .

I remember the score, having to go on the pitch from the NS at some point because of all the argy-bargy, but very little else!

According to my Dad's diaries, we went to BHS in the morning, and in the late afternoon our cousins and a family friend came to tea. As they were coming from Southwick I'm guessing they left after the football started but before it ended. Which would be about right as we normally had tea around 4ish. The diary also says 'Bton play Spurs at Goldstone'. No mention of the bother. I love me Dad's old diaries.
