I don't think the Spanish full backs need to keep close in; the French aren't bothering them that much.

France have got to get the ball first. Good move from France running down the channels. Spain had plenty of men back this time though.

More not so much a chance for France but for any other team playing Spain. The opponents have to get forward very quickly though before the Spanish defence gets it together.

Spain - one goal conceded in just shy of three and a half games

Nobodys really tested their defense though have they, looked shakey against the Czech's to say the least.

They did, but they still didn't concede any goals against them which I guess is ultimately the mark of a good defence.

Or that the Czech's are shit.

Spain - Czech Republic? ???

Must reduce the amount of vodka I drink recently. I don't even
remember this game...

You're right, it was Spain-Croatia that I was referring to, as I'm guessing was deletebeepbeepbeep

So much football, it all blends together.

So, you're saying play Spain on the break?

Yes, easily confused.

As for the amount of football, it's going to increase significantly during
the next EC. There will be 24 teams instead of 16, and that means 51
games instead of 31.

Ten minutes to go and Iniesta is replaced. Closing up shop now. Might as well go down the pub.

I feel churlish saying this but I prefer the German style.

More to play it with a long ball out wide say from left midfield to right wing and then get the ball into the box before the defence moves over.

:goal: 2-0

Well Spain are good but I have to say I would much rather watch Germany or Portugal, even England dare I say!

If anything else I'd be immensely happy if England don't whimper out like France- let in a poor goal and then just let the game slide by.

Maybe Gus needs to copy Spain's ball retention skills but have a plan B whenever we go foward-try and score a goal each time we attack? It could work!

Very disappointing second half. France seemed happy to go out with a whimper! England may go out but they wouldn't go out like that!
