Terrible ball-watching by the French.

Is there one team in this competition with a decent defense? That was awful defending by France.

I think England are the only team left with a remotely good defense.

England with three goals (plus another that was over the line) conceded in three games?

Nobodys really tested their defense though have they, looked shakey against the Czech's to say the least.

They did, but they still didn't concede any goals against them which I guess is ultimately the mark of a good defence.

Croatia were robbed against Spain, Ramos should have been sent off and conceded a penalty and they should have had a second penalty near the end and Spains goal was offside. Modric was better than Iniesta/Xavi that night.

Only 2000 Spanish and 800 French in attendance ??? What's all that about?
I might be getting old but I'm getting bored of football now unless it's Brighton, or England in the knock out stages of a major tournament.
Ps we are getting ahead of ourselves in thinking we'll beat Italy tomorrow. Great strides forward Mr Hodgson, which is a bonus as he's the best and ONLY man for the England job but beating a possession based Latin team is beyond the reach of English footballers.

Modric was good and better than Iniesta.

France have just made one gigantic mistake. I did not expect Spain to get around on the outside like that. France can play better.

England have conceded 3 goals in 3 games; 4 if you include the goal that wasn't. How can you say this is good?

Spain are one short at the back as their full backs are not keeping close in. This means Spain could get caught out in exactly the same way as France did in the first half, if France are clinical enough.

I don't think the Spanish full backs need to keep close in; the French aren't bothering them that much.
