BBC Sport - Spain v France (Sat)

If Spain struggled against Croatia (as I expected) I expect them to struggle against France as well. Without Villa they are missing an important player.

I went for a Spain win after a struggle, but I would not be surprised if France upset the form book as they looked dangerous going forward and creating chances.

(PS: I cannot correct the typo in the poll.)

Spain have never beaten France in a competitive game, hoping that run continues.

Spain losing to a shambling mess of a French team would be hilarious and I want to see it happen. Just one break like Greece had but with slightly better defending.

I have gone all in on France in the vCash game. It doesn't matter anyway, I could win the competition and not win a penny because I use Tapatalk and not a browser most of the time, I didn't bet enough in the group stages to qualify for a prize.

I won't win anyway, Spain will win 1-0 tonight.

It should be an interesting game. I see the Albion playing like Spain. CMS playing the Fabregas role. And we have quicker wingers (at Championship level) and Vicente (well that's their fault).

Iniesta I think is over-rated. He is too right footed and can be shepherded into cul de sacs (like Dicker). But stopping him when the French get tired.

Croatia stopped the Spanish corners, but they slipped up when they got tired and under all that pressure. The Spanish full backs can be beaten as well.

I think with Gerrard pulling players out of position we could have a good chance of we play Spain as well. I don't see France having a player with the quality of Gerrard. And I am not sure that Hodgson will get the tactics right.

Draw after 90 minutes and Spain to nick it in extra time

Tydlesley says France and Spain are the only countries to have title of World and European champions at the same time. Wrong!

5 mins in and already I can't stand the commentator slurping Spain.

It's going to be a long night.

Long hoof out of defence by Spain and now a ball into the channels for Fabregas to fall over. Spain look nervous to me.

France are not man-making Iniesta, but they seem to covering space. Iniesta likes the ball at his feet though? It looks like two banks of four for France.
