I quite like the thought that after tonights result at St Marys (well done Reading) if we beat West Ham tomorrow then we b****r up the Hammers chances of an automatic place (and obviously enhance our chance of a play off place). Even if we lose it probably screws our chances but at least it makes those arrogant Saints sweat that bit more about their automatic place.

So a chance for us to screw Adkins or Allardyce into the bargain. Good to see Adkins losing his composure, he can't handle pressure that well.

Bit of an implosion on Saints Web tonight, and unlike us not many willing to give Reading credit. It will now grate with them even more that they failed to beat Pompey last week together with losses to Blackpool and Reading their arrogance from couple of months back seems misplaced. All they need now is for Lambert to get crocked or get himself another red card and they are on the slide.

They only have three games left and are six points clear of West Ham, so it's hardly a desperate position...

If we had a decent striker we would be contending for automatic promotion, the extra 10 to 15 goals would have made all the difference

Reading don't have any high scoring forwards and they are top of the league

Well that was a strange one! On another day we'd have beaten them 5-0, but that's how football goes. 3 silly mistakes on our part, all punished clinically. Fox's crossfield ball should never have been attempted, same with fonte's infield clearance to their cm. The last was just comical. On another day we would have had a pen in the first half when Sharp was literally wrestled to the ground twice, can't blame the ref for our mistakes though.

No doubting you deserved to win, much like us against Reading on Tuesday. However, Sharp was lucky not to receive a couple of bookings for his dives. He must have been taken lessons on cheating from Lambert and Lallana.
