Excellent progess today, I said yesterday 400/5 and I was waiting to see replies if we were 200/7 instead! Agree with Beach Hut, 200 plus lead, get them in, 4 slips, 2 gullys etc
Still think it will be a draw, but if you asked me at HT if we would win, I would have said we have more chance winning this test!

Watched it today and Swann is the key. Prior, Swann and Broad each pick up quick 20-30s tomorrow, England declare mid afternoon with a lead of 175 or so . Anderson and especially Onions look far better than the SA bowling attack , maybe with the exception of Morkel, who looks good. SA 80-4 at close on 4th day and then dismissed mid afternoon on Wednesday.

Nice to see a couple of England victories so they can try out Luke Wright.

You are a very bitter man aren't you, BARMY ARMY, BARMY ARMY! :clap2:

By no means, I currently am enjoying a bout of Man Flu and am stuck at home so wanted better entertainment than Cook & Collingwood (surely the worlds most tedious batsmen) furnished me today.

You can't say you actually enjoyed Cooks snoreathon of an innings?

Hopefully Prior, Broad & Swann who all like to go for it will get the extra runs we need double quick time and set up the final day.

Still think we havent got enough bowling and the draw is most likely:down:

Not bitter, just realistic.....

There seems to be no urgency from either team to win this test. So boring and defensive on both parts. We need to score quickly and we are blocking everything. They need wickets and are only intent on not conceeding boundaries. Hit a bit of a low at the moment.

Why not hit out and score quickly? We are in a good position and will need loads of time to take 10 saffer wickets

Indeed, 1 good hour af attacking batting can win this for us NOW.

It's now so dull and predictable I've turned off, never mind, there will be some serious flair at bowlaramadingdong later.

513/6 at Lunch a lead of 170.

England need to hit out after lunch and get and other quick 100 then go for broke with hopefully Broad and Swann making the difference.
