I stopped reading after "I want to play....for a bigger club someday if I get the opportunity".

It's disloyal and disrespectful to his current employer.

I'm sure all players think it. I'm sure all of us wage slaves would love to work for a bigger employer (ie get more money). But I kinow if I expressed that attitude to my boss his reaction would be "off you go then. there's the door".

What a ridiculous comment. Perhaps you should have read on...

"Brighton’s a big part of me,” March says. “It is hard to say why I love the club. But I do.

“It stems from the top down – from the chairman to the chefs and dinner ladies. The club is really tightly knit. I don’t think it’s like that everywhere, but at Brighton, we all just get along.”

Any evidence of this or just speculating?
No your right there is no real evidence but Maty Ryan didn't come out and say he would fight for his place did he? Although his recollection of events stated he was told he could find another club if he wanted to. Probably at that point the club may have not agreed a move if he said he was prepared to gain the no 1 spot here. What he tweeted about Bobs clanger was a bit underhand though & smacked of sour grapes.
All turned out well though, we have, imo a better GK Maty has his dream move, all is good. He might even get a Premier league game soon after Arsenals keepers gaff recently........I bet Big Bob won't make fun of any bad displays Maty may produce though.

Not sure why you have the pedantic stick up your arse today. But who cares, Ryan / whoever is representing Ryan - you have no idea if it was him or not as do I. But that action, shortly after the interviews he gave makes it completely difficult to Solly March or indeed any players aspirations.

Clearly you care. You seem to have been very upset by Ryan moving to a bigger club, saying he's at a bigger club, and then someone liking a tweet.

Now March has said he wants to play for a bigger club and there are crickets.

I'm not upset at all, in fact I said it was amusing that he has gone from at least GK #3 to bench warming so good move all round. You seem to have a difficult time understanding the difference despite multiple people pointing out why it is different. You seem to be spoiling for an argument so I'll just block you for a bit :dunce:

I’m sure he won’t, he’s a bigger man than Maty.

I think it's pretty obvious it wasn't him that like that tweet (although we can't know for sure).

Previous players have suggested that Brighton is merely a stepping stone on their way to immortality with the biggest clubs, and virtually all of them have metaphorically ended up on the scrapheap.
My problem isn't with players having ambition and dreams, but why do they have to share them? Can't they be a little more discreet ?

 Do you think there is any single player in our entire squad who doesn’t want to play at the highest level and earn more money?

It’s utterly bizarre that people find it offensive that a football player dare admit they have aspirations of reaching the pinnacle of their profession, yet in no other aspect of life is that offensive.

By the way I’m not sure who your boss is but if that’s what he would say to you for admitting that one day you might want to earn more money and work for a bigger company, I would suggest he shouldn’t be the boss of any company.

It is an odd 'offense' to take.

Mr Bloom only wants to sing players who see the Albion as a stepping stone for a bigger club.
In that scenario everybody wins.

In any other scenario Mr Bloom loses...

...Mr Bloom don't lose.

No issue with Solly saying it. And completely different situation to Matty who came across slightly disrespectful to a young player.

Absolutely. I'd often love to run away with a widowed multi-millionaress who has no gag reflex, but I don't go telling Mrs Nose that.. :glare:

Not sure I’d agree about ridiculous, these things are always emotive for a lot of us fans. Why can’t ripple express that without it being called ridiculous, regardless of Solly subsequently expressing love for the club.

Hardly a world-beater is he? Solly may well have grand plans for his footballing future, but strongly suspect those plans may well end up being WAY more mundane IRL

Not a lot of "world beating" left backs out there at the moment. If he could keep up how he played this season until he got injured, I think there's a few top (or alleged top) clubs that would be interested in him. Perhaps not as a starter but he would be a better backup than a lot of current backup options in some of the big clubs.

I assume this will get the same hysteria that Ryan's comment got.

Call it hysteria if you like but yes it’s a very unprofessional comment imo, just as Ryan’s was. Especially coming from a player who is having his second long lay off whilst being paid by and treated by the club that pays his wages. He’s a ****

Is Solly a left back? Must have missed that bit all this time. My bad, clearly
