I buy a season ticket for Withdean, so that I can go to all the home games at Withdean all season.

It does exactly what it says on the tin.

i chose to buy more than the minimum number of tickets

what?

are you saying that you buy more tickets than you need?

I buy my season ticket in order to watch the team i support play. I've seen the ups and the downs, and i'll continue to watch them till i'm no longer able to do so. No matter what the standard of football (even though i didn't get a spurs ticket).

I buy a season ticket because I can't be arsed to get a letter off to the Club shop every couple of weeks throughout the season (and then worry about whether the application will be successful).

I also like the £113 discount the Club give me.

Exactly what Lord B said. These ballots can be so worrying.
Still off to Spurs next week.

I think most people's problem is that someone who paid £10 and potentially has only been to one match in their life, get's priority over a season ticket holder or someone who goes to most away games.

I imagine that most people who go to most away games are either STHs or go to a lot of home games anyway.

They don't get priority. The applications were dealt with in order of RECEIPT.

As a season ticket holder who has been to 8 away games so far this season I am happy with first come first served.
I do have a Spurs ticket and I am going to Sheffield next week.

Sadly order of receipt didn't mean the order they were sent in this time round.

Are you saying that a regular, loyal fan should be dealt with the same as someone who might have only been to one game ?

Yes. I doubt very much that there is an AMS member who has only been to one away game ever.

It could be the case though. My point is that the majority of the 558 fans who went to Wigan earlier in the season (our lowest away turnout this year) and have probably been to most of the other away matches and season ticket holders who put money into the club should receive priority over someone who does one or two games a year.

as i said i havn't got a spurs ticket.i chose not to apply.but i see no more value in being a season ticket holder than a away or pay per game fan.
season ticket holders get what they pay for.
a nailed on dead cert ticket for ALL HOME GAMES be it wet spam leeds or rotherham.
season ticket holders also get A MASSIVE DISCOUNT.
pay per game risk missing out(ref my post about gillingham)pay full whack AND pay ludicrous booking fees
HAVE YOU BEEN AWAY THIS YEAR bloody hell.those of us who went to wigan away this year have paid a f***ing massive price this year

Look, it's like this. You buy a season ticket and in the long rin, assuming you attend all the games you save yourself money and the club benefits from the interest these lump sums gereate.

However, by virture of the fact that you've paid in full for your seat before a ball is kicked in anger it implys that you will attend all home games. Thus you are by definition a 'regualr' supporter and therefore entitled to preferential treatment for games where the supply exceeds the demand. You may get to see Tottenham but you've paid in advance to watch the likes of Rotherham and Gillingham.

Does anybody really go by the club shop or post a request for every home game ? Not many if any I bet. Therefore, why do these people expect to get a ticket before somebody who has demostrated their loyalty the club ?

No, I'm not a season ticket holder now as many know and no I didn't get a ticket for Spurs either. However, I'm not bitcj hing about like some.

Get over it.

This is probably true, even Mrs BHA has been to Bournemouth and Brentford.

Order they were sent in ? How on Earth are the club supposed to administer that? It has to be in order of receipt.

I know I'm in the minority, but i really don't think that I should have preference over anyone else who has been to less games than me. 1st come first served, if someone was desperate enough to get in ahead of me then good luck to them.

Even if it's the FIRST game, then oh well, I just hope they enjoy it and keep coming back.

People who live out of the Brighton area were at a serious disadvantage this time round due to the Christmas post.

And what EXACTLY are you saying the club should have done about that? Drive round and collect it from you?

and for the gillingham game
how many of our season ticket holders actually get off thier fat arses and attend the dull games.why with a full away end and a 6420 gate was i denied 6(no not together, any seats would have done)tickets by a ticket office that declared the game SOLD OUT.

500 season ticket holding wankers stayed at home and proved thier undying love for the albion by checking teletext at full time.

That is their choice but at least they've paid for it whereas 'casual' supporters who cherry pick their games haven't, see the difference ?
