i make no excuses i dont buy a season ticket( i could, work shifts so would miss 60%+ of this season.cant afford two,my wife is only employed part time on minimum wage.i also prefer away games atmosphere)these are all excuses i could use.
but it suits me to buy tickets for games i CAN go to.

i chose NOT to try for spurs tickets because i thought others had greater dibs on them.people who got to more games than me,people who put more money into the club.

me,when i can,i buy more than the minimum 2(me and the misses) so today i paid for 4 tickets.

but what i cant understand is people(season ticket holders)who say that because they pay for a season of HOME GAMES they should have preference for tickets to an AWAY GAME.and that they wont pay next year for HOME GAMES because they failed in a ballot.
lets face it

the away support would have gone to scunthorpe next week, most of the phone in whiners only want to go cos its spurs

Just as people tried to explain to Mr Perry on SCR radio and unfortunately failed. let me explain it to you!

All the reasons why some people choose not to buy season tickets are valid to a point i.e better atmosphere etc

BUT and it's a massive point. The direct input of cash into the club via season ticket holders is the bedrock of its financial stability. Without this cash there is no Albion, there is no team to go and support at AWAY games.

I buy a season ticket because I can't be arsed to get a letter off to the Club shop every couple of weeks throughout the season (and then worry about whether the application will be successful).

I also like the £113 discount the Club give me.

yes but

you buy tickets for home games

next year you buy tickets for home games so why threaten not to do it again just because you throw a hissy fit over a high profile fixture?you(collectivelly not personally.for all i know you would have gone even if it was exeter)

I buy a season ticket so I can look down my nose at all the people who struggle to get tickets for the big games at Withdean. I get an infinate feeling of smugness and wellbeing at the almighty scramble for tickets for the "big games", when I am safely in possession of a season ticket in my drawer at home. When we played Leeds, I got the ticket out the day before, lightly caressed the perforated seam, and looked at my reflection in the gold lettering. I gave myself a knowing wink, and slipped the ticket down the front of my pants for a little while, just to see how it felt.

I also buy a season ticket because it all but guarantees me a ticket for a big away game. I have a Spurs ticket, and tonight I will get it out and rub myself all over with it.

Season tickets are GREAT.

I get a seat I like for every home league game and 1 cup game, with an option to purchase it for other cup games. I know precisely what I am paying for.

I have a Spurs ticket, I was lucky. But, if I hadn't got the ticket, there is no way I would have considered it a reason for not renewing .

Season ticket holders deserve NO priority for AWAY games

end of.

Oh and does that include season tocket holders who in addition travel to say 70% of away games too then?

If you travel away you contribute to the team in terms of support that may or may not help the team on to victory. Unfortunately in real tangible terms i.e. financial you contribute nothing! As stated previously without STH money there could effectively be no Albion to support away.

I probably would of, if I'd have got a ticket, even if it is a right shit hole of a ground for away fans. Not to mention the gutter in the blokes toilets.

i CHOSE TO PAY MORE PER GAME than the season ticket holder in the next seat.do yu know how much i pay in booking fees alone?

i chose to buy more than the minimum number of tickets

i hold no grudge over not getting a ticket for an attractive overubscribed fixture

As a STH that goes to 70% of away games you are simply an Away Member, the same as everyone else.
The financial contribution does not come in to away support but can help the team stay up througout the duration of the season.
But as i said before season tickets are for HOME games. If we has Spurs at home the non season ticket holder away members wouldn't be having a moan up. They would just put up. (but i believe we'd have had a beam back in that case)

and how people can moan about the atmosphere? sure its not electric all the time but at key poijnts the crowd was proudly vocal today. people jumping arouund as knight scored and all rising to there feet as virgo was wrongly booked. thats why i buy a ticket. because i love watching the albion.:)

So I can watch all the home games at Withdean and get a discount.

Also as it helps the club that I pay in advance I deserve first priority on any ticket for any game Brighton play that is not at Withdean :p
