How is it? Our church has increased largely in numbers over the past few months.

you and a few other have made such claims. how come churches themselves, in paricular CofE are frequently lamenting how attendances are dropping?

Where did the universe come from then?

Some kind of big bang millions of years ago. But i certainly don't believe it was created by god of which theories have been dis proven many times and then adjusted. If you had never heard of religion or god and only know science would you still believe in some mysterious super natural power looking over us?

Well if it was the big bang then where did the big bang come from? That's my logic, how could something so big like the universe be created from absolutely nothing?

For me there are far too many unanswearble questions about "god" and people answer reasonable questions about why/how things have happened with ansers like, "god works in mysterious ways" or "god only takes the good ones". There are far too many people who claim "their" god is the one out of the 200 that is the "real" god. There is far more plausiblity behind evolution than creationist claims. I find religion acrues many of the desperate in society looking for something to cling on to. I do acknowledge that the church does some good but has also done some terrible things. Religion is a vehicle for much evil unfortuntely, not to say that all religous people are evil, they clearly are not.
