Ever heard of Kristallnacht?
Point taken, but it was not a major contributor to the starting of the second world war. Having said that, I wasn't born until 1953, so do not know what was going on in people's hearts and mnds then, but I don't think that the treament of the Jews in pre-war Germany was something people were majorly aware ofin this country.
Iaso blieve (opento correction) that kristallnacht was something that the authorities "alowed to happen" rather than it being state perpetrated. And it also could beclaimed to be ethnic rather than eligious - the jews asa rae rather than Judaism as a faih.
