Would it be harsh to say that if you can't go 2 hours without smoking then you should have a look at your addiction and try to get it sorted?
The club i would think wouldnt be able to open a exit due to the potential of people without tickets getting into the ground, people dont need to smoke at grounds its 2 hours ffs, seriously if ya cant go 2 hours without a fag, then you have a serious smoking problem.
Also i think not only the FA rule, but also the Country's rule would ban this, if ya cant smoke on a platform of a train station then i don't see how you would be able to smoke legally at a football ground.
Well the drinkers will be targetted next; & then the pie eaters; & then....
After a few home games now almost everytime i go to the gents someone is smoking in the cubicle. Has anybody else noticed this? Can people not wait 2 hours for a fag?
There was a queue of 8 people to use the bog just because of a gimp having a fag in there.
Yes i am a smoker.
I don't understand why the club just open an exit or two at H/T (with some portable barriers around them & a few stewards to keep an eye out for ticketless types who might be attempting to sneak in)? At least people who do want to smoke could make an informed choice - rather than reverting to behaviour akin to school playtimes. I mean, do they refuse to let people out & back in again at the theatre during the interval?
i fail to see your point, there not banned from grounds smoking is.
and a good reason for it is this

Why should the club pay for stewards to monitor people smoking? If you cannot last the duration then there is a serious problem. Let the stewards know where it is happening
I haven't smoked in the ground because what's the point of risking getting chucked out and possibly a ban for having a fag? The club should think about a smoking section of the ground or just open the doors to people at HT for one.

i don't smoke but don't understand why we all penned in at half time,
a disabled fan found it very hard to cope with the humidity in the concourse at the black pool game.
surely it wouldn't hurt just to open the doors for 15 minutes
The reality is that whether you like it or not, some people will still smoke inside stadiums (albeit in the toilets) - regardless of the effect on others.
I doubt a smoker would have time to leave his seat in the WSU at half time, go down all those stairs, have a tab, and then WHEEZE his way back upstairs in time for the start of the 2nd half. He'd be a sweating, spluttering MESS making a noise like an asthmatic pit-pony by the time he got back to his seat.
