Marvellous news. Instead of Accrington Stanley, Burton Albion & Morecombe, it'll be The San Siro, The Nou Camp & The Bernabeu within the next few years. Get those Spanish & Italian phrasebooks out now. Everyone in NSC should enrol for Spanish, French, Italian & German lessons. We'll need linguistic skills when we travel throughout Europe to follow Russell Slade's Blue & White Army.............

Well, what a high the season has ended on!! It could've all ended so differently, but now we've got ourselves out of it AND have a new manager in charge for next season who has the potential of doing great things with the club.

We are VERY lucky considering the above!! Could only happen to the Albion, brilliant news though and looking forward to next season already!

Gives Russell his fishing trip to Cornwall to decide the fates of those out of contract. Getting that sorted early is the first step to an organised summer - something we don't usually have.

I hope that people don't DEMAND we're right at the top next season just because Russell did so well over the last 8 games of this season. He's shown he can get a lot out of some average players, and the opportunity to bring his own in this summer will make his job easier, but to turn around any club from staying up on the last day to promotion winners in one year is near impossible. That said, I'd expect to see us firmly in the top half next season and at least in touch with the play-offs. I just don't want the idiotic element of the crowd baying for Russell's blood if we're not top of the league by October.

Completely agree

I would prefer Promotion the season before Falmer opens so we start with our new stadium in the Championship and more able to finance the type of players we would need to be able to stay there rather than go up and find we are relegated from the Championship and start in league 1 there instead.

Excellent news Slade is staying
