Sir Mo Farah was brought to the UK illegally as a child and forced to work as a domestic servant, he has revealed.
The Olympic star has told the BBC he was given the name Mohamed Farah by those who flew him over from Djibouti. His real name is Hussein Abdi Kahin.
He was flown over from the east African country aged nine by a woman he had never met, and then made to look after another family's children, he says.

No it isn't. Sadly quite a few African children suffer the same fate, sent to Britain to be 'looked after' by an 'Auntie'. Disgusting, but not astonishing.

Very few make it to the pinnacle of world athletics, which is probably what makes it quite astonishing.

That sadly is what is not astonishing.

I hope Pritti Patel doesn’t try to deport him, as she has the legislation to remove his citizenship.

No we don't mean people like you Mo...

This woman (Kathy Gyngall) is the editor of Conservative Woman, wanting to strip his knighthood. His achievements on the athletics fields are nothing to do with being trafficked.

Fortunately, someone in the Home Office has said -

Her empathy for a trafficked 9 year old boy, oozes out of every pore.

Apparently BBC said no comment from woman who brought him to UK. so looks like they know who she is.. Needs questioning to see what she has been up to over the years

Thankfully the drawbridge was lowered to boot out his twin brother who was evidently a bit stabby…..

A rare success for the law abiding majority.

I didn't think we had control of our borders or who was allowed in this country, with foreign criminals allowed to run amok, but he was deported in 2016, some mistake surely?

...he was monitored with an electronic tag and weekly appointments until being deported in 2016.

Can we please keep this on topic and not let it drift into the same old arguments.

Thanks.

Assuming, of course, that Sir Mo is telling the truth this time. Maybe having an honour does put people above the law?

This raises many, many questions but can any answers actually be taken at face value? An extraordinary web to unravel.

At the very least I'm suspicious of this story not least the previous newspaper articles about his plane journey over with his mum to the UK. Quite frankly, I'm suspicious of a lot of what he says and his amazing transformation from also ran to world beater.

If nothing else, this should act as a reminder that human trafficking and modern slavery still exist in this country (and around the world). This is rarely reported on. There are people like Hope for Justice doing fantastic work to protect those that need it.
