Blair certainly did publish a draft manifesto 'New Labour, New Life for Britain' outlining 5 pledges 9 months before the 1997 electionFunnily enough that’s exactly what Tony Blair did when he was the only successful leader of the opposition to win a majority since Thatcher in ‘79 ….. He put a manifesto together a year before a General Election.
However this is yet another case of this opposition saying;
the Government have got it wrong- we are going to fix it - we know how but we just aren’t saying.
Weak politics no matter who the party is. For decades I have watched opposition leaders either at the dispatch box or on tv interviews explain how their policies would work and why they should be in government.
But that was a very different election and a VERY different conservative party that they were up against, many of whom wouldn't recognise (and have publicly come out against) the policies of the current corrupt cabal.
I think that that Starmer is conducting a very sensible campaign whilst, I'm assuming from the above, you believe he should publish his manifesto, and I don't think we are going to agree on that anytime soon
But this thread keeps getting bounced as a result of a carefully planned and systematic campaign to try and demonise immigrants/asylum seekers by publishing lies, in the hope of getting a few racist and naïve votes and avoiding any discussion on the real issues actually facing British people today, I'm sure you'd agree
