Would that be the pension plan he got when he left the DPP under the regulations created by the then-Tory Government under David Cameron?

I only ask because surely it's only hypocrisy if a) he earned enough during that period to exceed the allowance and b) we're saying that he should have opted out of a Government-sponsored pension plan on the off chance he ended up in opposition to a Government that makes a living robbing from the poor to give to the rich?

It’s nice that every month you pop up with a bit of whataboutery regarding Keir Starmer.

Can I ask, when you talk about this pension, are you talking about the one he got when stepping down as Director of Public Prosecutions in 2013? The one that was determined by the Civil Service?

Jobs rarely have a PYO pension scheme, he got the pension associated with the role at the time, in line with the rules decided upon by the government of the time. He was Director of Public Prosecutions, not head of Civil Service Pension Policy.

The straw-clutching is just incredible. Starmer’s point regarding the removal of the cap on all private pensions stands for the following reasons:

1. Only the extremely wealthy benefit from it.

2. At a time when our public services are on their knees, and our government keeps turning out it’s pockets and claiming that there’s no money to do anything about it, the government has made a deliberate choice to allow those with the most in society to take advantage of an unnecessary tax break that further reduces our ability to pay for public services without borrowing. It’s utterly irresponsible, and further proof that this Conservative Party can’t be trusted with the economy. They’re fiscally illiterate.

Edit: @JBizzle has largely beaten me to it, but ye gods @Is it PotG? you’ve got nothing.

Oh dear, you are repeating silly claims from CCHQ. Sir Keir Starmer's DPP pension is too small to take advantage of the new rule, and he hasn't paid anything into it, since 2013.
His MP's pension will be far more when he stands down.

Try again.

Starmer, comes across as decent, but dull, but in reality is he just another skin deep socialist ?

Wait, his political opponents have accused him of something?

Well that's it then, he's toast now. Everyone knows that as soon as your political opponents accuse you of something then that's it, you're 100% guilty. Even Starmer would agree with this as a former director at the DPP. Straight to jail, if he's lucky, else they might bring back hanging.
