I think that can be said of many games in 2002/3 when last in Div 1.

Great goalscorer but not enough passion for the cause for me. Will never forget the goal at home to Halifax though!

I can only just see the Z-man getting a place on the bench...if at all.

Marlene Harewood has struck form, Deadly Don Hutchinson is the new golden balls and "oh Teddy Teddy" will be fit again to be unleashed :clap2: Plus we have Rebrov who's scoring a few for the reserves and the ex Millscum knife wealding maniac Ashikodi who's chomping at the bit.

However, knowing Pardew, he'll probably put our reserve keeper up front :shootself

I agree BZ has his level, but based on resources so do the Albion, and that level, based on income, level of attendance etc is about 20 places below where we currently operate.

Bobby did not cut it in the Prem because he was not prepared to bust a gut to do so, we saw from his performances in the latter stages that his first love in life was not football.

Having said that he made a huge contribution to our back to back Championships, something that the club will never achieve again, so we should be thankful for his goals and sometimes sublime skills (those who were at Bury will know what I mean)

Bobby did not cut it in Div 1 cos he was not prepared to bust a gut.

I never felt he was breaking into a sweat and was reluctant to defend from the front. That is why he was never a hero of mine.

That said, i you will have noticed that i have not said anything against his ability to find the onion bag. For me a prolific goalscorer but not a team player. End of story.
