I see the polls are showing 80% in favour of keeping Harty and Hawsey.............

So.......in line with every load of bollocks in this country..........the minority will have their way.

Because 80% of the people on here represent the majority of views...

...how does that work ?

( and I'm not referring to H&H by the way....)

Sacked, no.

Were their words entirely inappropriate for radio broadcast? Yes. Should they be reprimanded for this? I would say yes, but it's not for me to decide.

And in the style of the original poster if anyone disagrees with me they've clearly got something very wrong in the head.

I am a MASSIVE fan of both Harty and Hawesy and SCR is the only way I can follow games from Japan. To sack either of them for this is a FCUKING JOKE. It just goes to show, yet again, that the BBC are a bunch of CNUTS.

It was a bad taste joke aimed at some of the pathetic posters on here nothing more nothing less
I don’t see it as a sackable offence.

Poll should have shown who voted what as the 7 (so far) people who voted for them to be sacked have remained anonymous on the thread itself as well as the poll.

I am personally astounded that any right minded person thinks that what they said deserves such a draconian punishment as sacking

You'd make an ace Argus reporter. 80% but of a heavily biased population.

Well according to London Irish, it's all NSC's fault

'The irony of this latest episode is that this word and the mindset behind it is fairly common currency on NSC. I'm not for the moment suggesting that Harty was cleverly satirising NSC by mimicking it, because that's not Harty's brand of humour at all, the point I would make is that NSC's very low standards are becoming the dominant ones increasingly among Brighton fans and it's not a big surprise to me that it affects people like Harty.'

There's about a million more words all in the same pompous vein, but you get the drift...

We're talking about the MEDIA - and the rules are pretty consistent.

It only takes a minority to complain about an 'offensive' advert for it to get pulled, for example.

The majority of viewers wouldn't care if the word 'c.unt' was banded about in, say, the Sunday Night Project, but that wouldn't make it right to use.

Surely, if the majority VOTE on an issue.............then the majority view should be adhered to.

Given your example in your last paragraph, merely emphasises that you believe the minority should rule.

On this basis, should the BNP be the government of the day...?

I'm talking about standards in the media (which is the issue here), not law/government.

Good to see we have hit 90% mark. eight out of just under 100 say no.

At least some proof that common sense still lives on in England.

The thread.........and poll....clearly asks if H & H should be sacked. A poll to vote is given.

I believe the majority vote of "NO", should be accepted.

Of course, it,s unlikely to be accepted, because this country in particular, always panders to the minority.
