We should find out tonight if that is true!

For me, all he needs to do is DECK someone off the ball and be sent off for it, and I'll love him forever more.

I'd even dump DAVE 21 that I want on my away shirt, and replace it with MAKSIMENKO 28. Expensive decision, but worthy.

What happened about the rumour that we were going to sign a young left back/central defender from Arsenal Ignacia Miguel or similar on loan last season perhaps OG a will resurrect that

no no no, you have got it wrong: i don't think we should go out and sign shorey- I think we should have signed him before, after his 1 week trial.

Also, from what I have seen from chicksen during friendlies and in his MK Dons career, he is weak on the ball and gets pushed of it too easily. He will of course, get better and i am not for 1 minute suggesting he is a bad player. I just feel we need experience and more quality in this postion sooner rather than later, or we will pay for it in early season points.

I think perhaps you should look at the definition of a trial... I would imagine his end of trial report read - 'must try harder, d-'

So you've seen this Chicken wings play before he joined Albion? Christ you must be one of very few that has... experience comes with games. Look at the likes of cole, clichy, gibbs at arsenal (similar styles hence the comparison)... they all made debuts at the age of 18. Or perhaps you prefer the cheque book management style of Redknapp. I would rather watch Chicksen develop alongside the Calderon's and Upson's than WASTE £10k pw on Shorey.

If Millwall didn't even offer Shorey a deal why would we want him ? He was given a trial here before his trial at Millwall and deemed not good enough to wear the blue and white stripes.

From The Argus:

Oscar was already in the market for a senior left-back replacement for Wayne Bridge, who joined Reading at the start of June, three weeks before the Spaniard was appointed.

Oscar told The Argus: “We don’t have many players that can play in a full-back position. We are looking for someone to join and this injury for Bruno is another problem in this position.

“It’s not easy to find the correct player to join the team and also to improve the team. It’s not easy but we are working on it.”

Is it complicated?

Sounds promising but also why was he working on it 3 weeks before his appointment?

If definetely wasn't because we tapped him towards the end of last season and gave him the job then

I absolutly do not want the cheque book style of managment. If you look at an interviw with chicksn it says he would have loved and experienced left back (ie Bridge) to be here so he could learn from him. Chicksen has promise-I agree with you, but he and masimenko would benefit greatly from someone to watch and learn from.

Chicksen will probably learn far more by standing on his own two feet, you've either got it or you haven't. Upson, Greer, Bruno are hardly bad examples to learn from.

Shorey is now on trial with Bristol City, which suggests the club got this one right. Took a look at a premiership full back and then decided he wasn't what we needed.

ORRR Bristol City are willing to pay wages we aren't, hence we ended up with a League One full back?

Exactly how many League 1 games did ward play then??

Oh don't be pedantic...he's registered to a League One team.

Perhaps Shorey is asking for unrealistic wages?

and been loaned out to a championship team as he is too good/expensive for League one.

Shorey has been at more trials than Lewis Dunk's lawyers and still no takers. So yes either unrealistic wages or more likely he is just passed his best.

I personally, am pleased we've got Ward.
