Is that true? Unusually, I don't remember anything denigrating his character or circumstances.

Why has this case received so much attention compared to all the others? An asian man gets killed in Yorkshire this week by a gang of youths and its only five lines on page nine of the paper. I think that the reason that this case has had such prominence is entirely down to his parents being articulate and persistent.

Its probably time to move on, the outcomes of the inquiry seem to have resulted in more young black males being assualted and killed than before and a less effective police service overall.

The Met f****d up big time. Appartantly they had more evidence in the first 24 hours to link these 5 knobs to the murder than they knew what to do with. The whole investigation was a cock up from start to finish and it was always suspected that some officers invovled in the case were deliberatly losing evidence, files of statements, and interviewing people badly.

Unpleasant as the whole thing is, the principals of our justice system is based round evidence, there wasnt any, so its time these guys were just left alone to get on with their lives.

You have completely missed the point of this thread. What is being claimed by the documentary is that much of the 'evidence' that was there and might have been used to get a conviction was either destroyed, ignored or covered up by a corrupt police officer. The system failed to test the evidence properly in front of the jury. What was left after this wanker of a policeman had finished with it wouldn't have convicted Hitler.

Yeah I see your point BUT would this case be still rolling on now if Stephen had been white and his ALLEGED murderers had been black?
