After the glorious Olympics and the feel good factor it left, when I watch football I don't see fans enjoying themselves anymore. Just more and more hatred. Vile raw venomous hate. Not all football fans of course, but I feel like the game is going down the pan and is doing itself no favours in attracting the next generation of positive role models.

I totally agree with the first part of your post. I bloody loved the summer of olympics and the the total love for sport and honour of representing your country that it bought. But it's not all about anger and hatred in the game, in fact it's rare.,In the years gone by and even now I've only ever known joy, pain, desperation and hope amongst the Albion faithful. Very rarely have I seen venomous hatred. And dont worry about the next generation supporting the team at the Amex, the team, Gus, and tony are doing more than enough to ensure we have plenty of support now and into the future

I'm not sure about this. I live and work in Leeds and find the majority of Leeds fans, be it football or rugby league, to be absolute tossers. Even people I work with. Northern people associate sport with violence and hooliganism and, the upper-middle classes aside, the football fan is particularly stupid - add the Northern man's penchant for violence and mis-directed self-loathing and it is a dangerous mix.

Can't help but think that what Warnock said about how Kirkland went down was a mistake as was his insistence on telling his players to go over and applaud the fans at the end. It was more than one fan that came onto the pitch when Leeds scored and they were all slapping him on the back when he came back into the stand. In light of the FA's comments about the incidents in Serbia, it would be double standards if Leeds didn't get a big fine, ban on away supporters and potential points deduction. The Serbian FA must be delighted to have seen this and the recent Terry affair and think of us 'throwing stones in glass houses'. Bad week for football.....frankly hope that Leeds are banned for the game at the Amex.
