In all seriousness, I think we all understand the sense in modernising (and dismissing the plainly bollox 'I like our cool old school stadium' comments) but Beaky's vanity has got the better of him. His plan is riddled with reasons to fail. The money would have been ringfenced better with more sensible plans.

So we get to welcome another team into the Premier League who's 'stadium' consists of 3 cowsheds and an overpowering architectural eyesore.

Oh.

Played on something similar at Stamner back in the day [emoji38][emoji38][emoji38]
Primary school football at The Paddock in Lewes. Bottom pitch was fine but the top one was like a 1/3 hill.

Western Road beat St Pancras 10-1 once there (I was playing left wing) Their 1 was because our keeper had done nothing all game and was trying to chat a bird up.

While leaning against his post and doing his best with the girl, a hopeful clearance rolled down the hill and went in as we were all shouting at him, "PAUL! PAUL!!!...."

I think I was 9 years old but it sticks in the memory. And our ground was still better than Selhurst as it wasn't full of *****.

I see the Palace team coach arriving.

Can’t be. Theirs has graffiti all over it after they accidentally trashed the wrong team bus that one time.

Our new, state of the art cat 1 academy, being built as we speak.

Read an amusing thread on BBS, surprisingly reflective, with sentences would you believe.

Tony Bloom praised.

Criticism variously of Noades, Goldberg, Jordan, Parish and the unseen Yanks. All seen as in it for themselves. Some disparaging comments about the famous “ring fenced” funds.

DIY shops are open now so surely they can buy some bolt cutters to get through the ring fence by now?
