Yes but I've got nothing to do every other Saturday now.During the week its just plain boring and the weekned was all I looked forward to.Now what do I do?Pay £250 to watch a game at a shed and not be able to see whats going on or not? What would you do then?Put yourself in my shoes and honestly tell me you wouldn't be pissed off too.

No one is questioning that you should be miffed by this. Just try looking at the bigger picture, the club cannot run a business efficiently and keep everyone happy. Just like they can't build a stadium without upsetting the Falmer villagers.

Yes,but surely they can keep the LOYAL FANS HAPPY.For the love of Christ,do you not understand that they are only doing this so they can get this kids for a quid thing going better? It's not fair on us,as ive been a season ticket holder for 5 years now and I have always sat in that seat

IF it works (and I have my doubts) then over a period of time the club should make more money from this strategy. That means they can afford a bigger playing budget which should benefit us all.
If someone is prepared to pay more than you to sit in your seat I personally think you should let them. If someone wants to pay more than me for my seat they can have it, as long as I have somewhere else to move to.

What you are failing to understand here is that they are NOT prepared to pay more than me!Some different person is going to pay every game for a quid to sit in my seat while I'm paying £250 to sit in it every game. They will not make more money from this strategy as I have spoken to 14 people who sit near us in Block B and not one of them is renewing their season ticket!Yes,that benifits us all...

I was just thinking that there is usually space in the old away stand so if you were in A or B block and were moved over there and next season there was space where you used to sit that would be the ultimate kick in the teeth!

True. And to be honest if we are relegated then it will probably happen... BUT! When we are top of League 1 :)p ) we will sell out and make a tidy wedge.

The club are looking to the future with the kids for a quid scheme and this is being done at other clubs around the country not just us.

'Tis true, we live in uncertain times. But he who dares Rodney, he who dares.

get over it.

If you don't want to pay it, then don't. No one is making you

Put yourself in my shoes and tell me you wouldn't be the slightest bit miffed. Its very unfair that they did not ask any of the fans' opinion before they did it.

Sheffield Wednesday isn't a bad ground, holds quite alot of people and the prices are fair.Withdean is a dogs house, holds 7,200(we cant even sell that out),the prices are ridiculous and the loyal supporters are treated like dirt.Comparison solved!

Rather than Sheff Wed can afford to have 22,000 people at a small price, whereas Brighton have to charge more to make up for the loss of 16,000 seats?

Question of economics really

I'm just annoyed by this because the fans that have been sitting in the family stand should not have to move because of this.I'm sorry the club need the money,I really am but come on,they have got to be reasonable to us.We have paid loads of money for the past five years and now they want us to pay the same amount of overpriced money for a crap view in an awful seat. Why?

I Have sat in both A blok and the old away end on several occasisons, and can honestly say that the view from the old away end is better than the view in a block.

But then as an ex North stander I have always preferred to watch footbal from "behind" the goal.

Only dowside is that you can be a bit cut off from the atmosphere, but as there is rarely atmosphere at withdean it shouldn't be a problem

I would be pissed off as well but if the club asked for opinions they still will be castigated whatever decision is made. At the end of the day however it's not a life changing issue, its insignificant moving from one part of the ground to another compared to transferring 300 miles in order to keep your job.
