Yea probably, I will pay student price and probably end up sitting "south stand wings" wherever that is....

I think you'll find the South Stand Wings is what is currently the family area.

Earlier this season, I applied for tickets in the family area and was informed that it was full, so I had to pay full price for my ticket. I got seats 1 - 4 in A block, so worse seats than the family area and paid more. Life's tough sometimes, but the decision to move the family area has made me decide not to get season tickets for my kids for next season, as I don't want to be "over there".

Very bad decision but economics is always an issue.

Will the club market a 22,000 seat stadium better ?

How can they do this.I've been a season ticket holder in the same seat for 5 odd years now and they want to move me to the old away stand with the worst possible view at Withdean? This is an outrage and I'm not renewing my season ticket.Martin Perry has got it TOTALLY wrong this time and it just shows that he's more worried about his pathetic 'under 10's accompanied by an over priced full paying adult for a quid' scheme than the truely loyal supporters.Anyone else not renewing theres because of this?

Does seem a bit like a slap in the face, has to be said. Tho completely at odds with what has always struck me (post-Archer) as the club's sense of fair play. I'm sure they'll do their best to put it right if you give them the chance.

I'm voting with my wallet.

Form was in the bin by 9am.

Doubt the kids will be asking for programs, shirts etc too.

The board get paid to make these decisions and live with the consequences.

I get paid to do the best for my family.....

This is not it.

Quote Ben Andrew Girlfriend

"But surely thats not because youve been asked to move seats?"

Straws and camels backs mate.

Moneys tight, I've sat in the area and the view is not worth it. It's bad enough trying to get the kids fired up as it is with the entertainment on show even when you can see it.

When you can't see it theres no point.

Only by a very marginal amount and as I lose about 5 home games a year to work etc it is cheaper.
The seat next to me (in H Block) costs £23.50 when bought singly.

This season, I am paying £440 for my season ticket - £18.33 a game.

The season ticket is still cheaper, even if I miss six home games.

Next season, I will be paying £435 (for 23 games) - £18.91 a game.

Common business sence!

Do not piss off your loyal customers who will allways spend money with you!

Once lost you are in the shit!

A third of a business customers make up 75% of turnover in many cases once lost your shaged!

This is just poor management, Knight and co have the best intrests of the club at heart but its still run very unproffesionaly!

Doesnt reallty effect me as I am in the North Stand but I would have thought that the best course was to sell the existing seats to the present STH and got their money. Then sold the old away stand, with its poor view, but good Fish and Chip van, as told me by my son last week, to extra fans either by STH or match by match, thus increasing the turnover above what it is currently.

Bensgrandad..................spot on, they way they keep all the existing Family STO's happy and if they want to increase the family STO or casuals and kids for a quid, then they can use the East Stand, common sense, like they have done this year.
I have suggested this to Martin Perry in a mail.

Spoke to Ticket office yesterday about how the under 10 thing works, he said it means aged 9 ??, but he did say they have had loads of complaints over the new family section. Maybe they will reconsider, if people complain (like after Spurs game last year), they changed the rules, although a bit late.

I hope they reconsider, because 1)no-one will sit there and 2)I want to stay where I've been sitting.

Think about it,the kids for a quid thing works like this,an adult, who pays the full ticket price of £22.50,brings an under 10 to a match, who gets in for a quid. But all children above 10 still pay the full price.Well, they may get the odd game where lots come to the game but for example, the Burnley game last Tuesday, would you really take an under 10 to a game as boring as that for a price like that?no!They have to reconsider.

YOU CAN. JUST PAY THE SAME PRICE AS ALL THE OTHER ADULTS IN THE SOUTH STAND AND IT'S YOURS. WHY IS THAT SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND?

(and yes I am SHOUTING)

BECAUSE,I DONT HAVE AN ADULT SEASON TICKET,I HAVE A CHILD ONE AND THE PRICES ARE REDICULOUS,I JUST CAN'T AFFORD IT ANYMORE!

(and no,I'm not shouting,I forgot to turn caps lock off)

Put yourself in my shoes and tell me you wouldn't be the slightest bit miffed. Its very unfair that they did not ask any of the fans' opinion before they did it.

i didn't get tottenham tickets last season (but I went o sunderland away!)
i didn't get qpr tickets last season
i didn't get reading tickets in 2001
i didn't get e hereford ticket in 97
i was locked out of Jimmy Case's testimonia!

I know how you feel but i don't feel its unfair

Their seats - they can allocate how they like

Looks like the club do listen, see Seagulls website......

They will write to each and every member of the existing family stand season ticket holders probably saying what everyone has got from Perry, the same letter with the same thing about 756 seats avaliable.

Lokki 7,do you not understand that they are charging us extra to keep our seats,so thats why we cannot afford to buy another one.

You can see the club's point when you put it like that.

This is a real toughie though - maybe some kind of phased implentation would be the way forward, particularly given our difficult season.
