Season ticket renewal next season?

I think you'll find that i see the bigger picture and while believing that nsc chat is the conscience of the Albion i feel i am the conscience of nsc,telling people to piss off will not be helpful in the long run,it will be too late when a few thousands do piss off! Its best we try and draw attention to problems before they have arrived.If people listened to the everything is superdoodle viewpoint the people that matter might get the wrong messages.

Problem is, every time I see a post from you, it seems to be a moan about the hierarchy of the club. You need to accept we are not tin pot Albion anymore and costs have soared with moving to the Amex. The club is losing money. I'd be interested in your take as to how the club can turn this around and stem the losses.

However if you can only be arsed to go to a handful of games I totally get why you don't want to renew.

Thats exactly what i'm trying to do,putting prices up does not mean more income if you lose customers,ditch the travel scheme and try serving something worth eating at a decent price with decent service,take over the catering in house and get it right possibly.Sort out the concourse so people are able to watch the screens without clogging up the whole area. Apart from my lovely undercover seat and view every aspect of the match day experience is worse than the withdean one. And i think i might be paying a tad more for it.

So long as they continue the interest free monthly payments I will be continuing if they stop this (the monthly payments that is, I don't mind a small premium on top) I may have to think very hard if I can stump up the full amount in one lump or not.

Drop season ticket prices and you'll still get the less enthusiastic fan who has bought a ticket because we moved into the Amex but is not being thrilled, cancelling. There will come a point where the quality of player will deteriorate too if the revenue falls and dropping season ticket prices is going to worsen the situation. Is the catering really THAT bad, it was SHIT at Withdean are you suggesting it's worse or is it a cost moan? Isn't the travel voucher the result of conditions of the planning consent. I imagine the club would love to drop it, but can they? As for your comparisons with the Withdean match day experience, I am frankly flabbergasted. Getting out of the stadium is the only thing that was better. If we could have squeezed 27,000 into Withdean we'd have had worse departure problems though

Of course you are going to pay more to watch a game in one of the best stadiums in Europe than you paid at Withdean.

If there is a massive shortfall in renewals, they aren't going to put the price up for those that remain, they will just have to make more cuts and probably have a considerably smaller playing budget!

But Shirley, that is the same with all businesses. At the end of the day, there seems to be an undercurrent of people suggesting that if people do not renew, it will be their fault if we do not progress.

The problem we have and we are not alone in this, is that football fans are fickle. Just reading this board shows that. If we are doing well, top of the league, we would have been playing to full houses every week, the problem is at home we are not and people's reaction is a symptom of that.

There are a lot of people who have st and do not attend for various reasons....yes it is easy to pay via 12 month DD and that certainly helps, and I think that maybe it will be those people not going who may not renew.

People's circumstances change and if people can't afford it then there is nothing more to be said.

I won't be renewing, but only because I won't be in the country. However, am I right in thinking there is still a waiting list? So even if people don't renew their season tickets there will be others out there who will gladly pay to go watch the Albion.

There might be waiting lists for certain areas of the ground but as they are selling half season tickets (upgradeable to a full season ticket next season if you wish) to whoever wants one I would assume that there is not a current general waiting list as such

The thing with Tuesday was the lack of passion and commitment from too many of the players. To be honest I much preferred watching some past players who, although maybe less talented, could be depended on to give 100% week after week and you believed were playing for Brighton because they loved the club and the city. Some recent examples: Alex Revell, Gary Hart, Kerry Mayo, Richard Carpenter, Michel Kuipers.

As the club has got bigger there's a tendency to believe some of the players are here for one reason only, the money.

Utter tripe. How you can say the Withdean matchday experience was better except for a roof over your head shows your comment either lacks credibility or is just a very poor attempt at trolling. I'm not saying it is perfect but it is infinitely better than Withdean in everyway. The only downside is the P&R at the end of the game but then again, had Withdean held 30k then that would have been crap as the hoards tried to get through the bottleneck that was the railway bridge. If you don't want to go then just stop going instead of keep coming on here and having pointless rants against the club!!

After many years supporting the Albion i became a season ticket holder for the first time when the new stadium opened,first season was great apart from the time taken up in travelling to and from Falmer compared to Withdean.
Last season with our system of possession in our own half and general lack of entertainment i found it an effort to turn out twice in a week so made the decision not to renew which has paid dividends this year, I now attend when we are in good form and if new signings are made when required,also i can miss out on matches not played on Saturday afternoons there are many other things to do on other days.
When viewing other Championship matches on TV, it is noticeable how many clubs with new stadiums are now playing to small crowds.

I agree the concourse could do with some seats maybe along the walls and by the bar at the windows
