fatboy said:The number of season ticket holders will also outstrip supply. Why should someone who has been to every away game be behind a season ticket holder who has not been to any away games?
London Calling said:THerefore Season tickets should get priority and some will not get tickets to some games. Well that is the case for nearly all clubs.
I do feel that Brighton does not really give any priority or any positive favours to its season tickets holders. Who guarantee the club 5,000 seats every home game.
Priority for away games - especially glamour matches - would be a start.
And for the supporters who do a lot of away games. The club should introduce prioritising to the ones who attend the most away games.
Most games are all ticket.
At the beginning of the season, the club just needs to announce. "Keep your away match tickets we will give priority to those who attended most games.....when demand will outstrip supply" etc

As Zeitgeist says, the club is messing around the people who are its lifeblood and are instead giving tickets for big matches to people who may never go to Albion home games, and therefore do nothing to ensure the club's financial survival. That can't possibly be right, can it?
fatboy said:Nor can someone who goes to every away game missing out on a ticket to a big away game because a season ticket holder who never travels away decides they can now be bothered to go away.
The Laughing Bluebird said:But surely the Albion season ticket holder is the person that Albion are most indebted too because he or she gives his or her money to the Albion each season, and not to other clubs instead? At times like these, shouldn't the club be seeking to reward the people who pay large sums of money in order to help it survive?
I've read loads of threads about these Spurs tickets in recent weeks, and it seems to me that perhaps many Albion fans happily accept this ridiculous 'first come first served' system simply because the club is in such an unusual situation and because you've all got used to such weird arrangements.
I haven't heard of any other club that DOESN'T give priority for away tickets to its season ticket holders, and I can guarantee you that there would be bedlam here if CCFC suddenly introduced a 'first come first served' system. Surely you don't believe that the rest of the clubs in the country have got it wrong and Albion has got it right?

FFS Isn't it time this one was put to bed? There is NO entirely fair way to distribute tickets. Why can't people just live it? Do people kick up a similar fuss if they can't get a table in their favourite restaurant? Next time it happens why don't you give them a call and tell them how much money you have spent with them and just how many times you have eaten on a Wednesday night. What about the cinema or theatre? Did you complain when you couldn't get into the first few showings of the new Star Wars films? Did you kick up a fuss about some of the ignorant newbies going in to watch the film; I bet some of them don't even know Luke's middle name.

If you want a ticket to game apply as early as is possible! If you had applied straight away you WOULD have got a ticket.

Right each point in turn.
1. On this particular matter football is just like eating out or going to the cinema/theatre. Capacity is limited. When it's full, it's full. ACCEPT IT. If you can't you are gonna struggle with life. First come, first served is the basis on which most things (esp. tickets) are distributed. Being passionate about something has nothing whatsoever to do with it. This is how it works in the ticket shop:

2. They processed the tickets in the order applications were received. It wasn't done randomly! Accept some responsibility yourself for not getting a ticket.
six_yard_punisha said:My point remains; first come first served basis applies, no one person is more deserving than the other. It is the only basis on which things like this can be run.

a) What is the point of being a Season Ticket Holder if you don't get first option for the big games?
b) What is the point of using our hard earned cash to help the Club when it kicks you in the teeth?
I am awaiting a reply from our so called Chief Mr Perry. Like everything else run by this club, expect i will get the same old standard reply
