Feck me, Albion fans knocking Sanchez, words fail me. Awesome keeper who the rest of the team trust so much they even give him hospital balls! His ball claiming is the best of any Albion keeper I have ever seen, as are his ball skills.

Depressing that fans even consider knocking him

It may be a cry for help

With Burn, Gross (for most of the game), Maupay and Connolly not on the pitch today, people are are a bit desperate to find a new individual who may have caused the imperfection of universe.

Just one weirdo

Time to take off the seagull specs/reduce alcohol intake then. He has been erratic this season already costing us points, hopefully will improve to rediscover his best form.

Manchester United conceded 5 vs Liverpool last week. Watford shipped 5 the week before. You’re slipping into troll behaviour this evening

He's a class prospect but 3 colossal **** ups in 3 games - fortunately (somehow, thanks to bad finishing and a freak use of hand) only 1 had lead to a goal.

It happens with young keepers and isn't a problem because his all round game makes up for it, but no point denying the current run of mistakes is a bit of a worry.

Put differently…..

Duffy lost his man on the second goal today…..
Bissouma got sucked in and Solly switched off on the first.
Vs City - Cucurella lost possession cheaply upfield
Vs City Dunk gave the ball away
Trossard dived in for a pen vs Palace
Veltman poor tackle for pen vs Everton

A number of players have made errors that have cost goals, I’m unclear why you are calling out Sanchez…..

Because some people just love to be controversial and ahead of the game. If Sanchez does have a few howlers JC can then say “told you so.” If Sanchez proves to be the best thing since sliced bread then JC can say he was glad to be proved wrong!

Basically a win/win for the doubters.

Nope. Sanchez HAS had 3 howlers in the last 3 games. There's no ifs. He's given a team an open goal by missing the ball with a clearance, dropped a cross on the striker, and kicked a ball at the striker when 2 yards out today. This isn't controversial or hindsight, it's something that needs to be nipped in the bud.

I think he has been more erratic this season than last season, possibly over confident but let's put it in perspective he is better than the previous keeper and a key part of our success during the last 12 months - our style of play has improved because our defenders are confident in him. It will certainly have been noticed by the coaching staff who will take the action they feel is appropriate.

As others have said enjoy him while you can, he will be the best keeper we have had if we keep him.

People are only blaming him for today’s goal because they don’t want to lay any of the blame on Dunk.

If Burn had done that it would have been his fault, obviously

I’m glad someone else said that, but similar to the Manchester City game where Dunk’s passing let him down and he was culpable for two of City’s goals.

Strange that no one decided to start a Dunk is costing us points thread - or is it just that some players are easy targets?

The commentators were mocking him and my Liverpool mates were annoyed the stopped pressing him as he didn't seem very good with his feet. Second half he was great.

That piss taking few minutes from the commentators about Albion in general was so unprofessional, really wound me up

Indeed, although going by the replies on this thread, expressing concern about this is VERY controversial!

Oh all right, I give in, Sanchez was f ... ing fantastic best game ever and is brilliant every game, standards never vary, above any criticism at all times. Lucky to have him [emoji6][emoji106]

No not that, but he absolutely has not been particularly erratic this season, which is what you said. For example, I can't think of one single instance where he's parried a routine save into danger, dropped a cross he should have claimed or looked anything other than organised with his defence.

This, 100% - he does not appear to be the liability some seem to think he is, in the eyes of either the players or the management.

Yes, he has made a couple of errors, but show me one keeper in the Premier League who hasn't. I also don't think any of his "howlers" have actually cost us points!

I know this is from last season, before he became a dodgy 'keeper, but...

Making even one serious error per game that will usually lead to the opposition scoring isn't any decent goalkeepers best form.

I think big Bob has been a little shakey and errors in this league mean goals. I think people are bathing too much in the glow of our current form to think clearly. A return to that usual imperious coolness would be very welcomed.

I think some have forgotten that not so long ago we had a keeper considered decent for most of his time here, who let shots into the corners bulge the net because he was too short to reach most of them. Hardly ever claimed a high ball or cross and regularly parried balls straight to the opposition.

I’ll take the flawed Sanchez every time thanks
