Baleba cost £23.2m Biss was between £12-15m. Quite a difference there making Baleba our second highest purchase in the history of the club.
We made a poor return on Biss IMO.
Bissouma was around £15 million in 2018, he was our 3rd or 4th most expensive signing at the time. Since then transfer fees have gone up, and clubs also know we have a lot of money generated through sales, so they'll stick the price up further. It still took Biss a good season, possibly two before we really saw what he was capable of on a consistent basis.

Baleba is younger and needs to be judged once he's been here a while. Not everyone is going to come in and perform at the levels Moises Caicedo did pretty much as soon as he started getting regular game time, even Alexis Mac Allister took a long time to settle in to Premier League football.

Hopefully they are all important, and only Bloom is indispensable (atm). Is Dan Weir related to David Weir? 😉
Inseparable

Reports suggesting Ashworth wants to take Macauley to United…….leaving the Chelsea vacancy…….

Will be glorious if Chelsea lose Macauley and then Jewell tells them to do one.

Cashworth has always been a snake.

Anyone who talks in a fake cockney accent is not to be trusted.

Wouldn’t want him as my boss…..

The Sun article that says United want Macaulay, also says Sam Jewell is 'fancied in some quarters' at Newcastle.

Appreciate Brentford not having a great sean but they are a very well club. Why does nobody go for there manager or backroom staff
This season seems to be suggesting they're a 1 man team.
If they progress next season, without Toney, then I think perspectives might change beyond the 'Brighton & Brentford' narrative.

It is quite ridiculous about how we keep getting picked off on such a regular basis. I think this one my hurt more than others as it appeared that Sam was the guy who got the deals done once the targets had been identified. Jewell will still have those relationships in South America so he maybe a threat to any future deals we might want to strike there. That said Chelsea still have to identify the prospects before Jewell can really get to work so they may fail to utilise his talents to their maximum.
