[Albion] Safe Standing 25/26 season (North Stand)

Happy to vote to formalise safe standing in the North (as opposed to the informal safe standing we currently have). Just don't make me move seats. PBOBE will say no to safe standing tho cos it will mean somebody having to take a hit on their budget for no measurably net gain, despite the EPL millions currently sloshing around the club

Now that is somewhat of bitter comment. If the club have asked supporters whether to implement safe standing and the majority vote yes then surely the club will go through with it. Otherwise what’s the sodding point in going through the whole process?

As per the survey email:

"Safe standing would not increase the capacity of the stand and tickets in this area wouldn't be charged at a cheaper price."

Then they are not doing it as per normal installation. There would be smaller plastic seats with metal bars in front and behind and this will increase the capacity.
I've changed my vote though. I don't want rid of my comfy seat and have a cold metal bar in front with less room even though I stand the whole game.
It is shit at away games when they have crappy plastic seats.

With away fans being shifted from the south stand next season - why not make the South Stand safe standing??

There is no change to seats, see the photo I posted early, the Brentford seats remained unchanged and barriers added but I agree less room

I'm elsewhere (WSL) and don't really care one way or the other as long as they don't try and turf me out to put someone else in my seat

If people who are in the North do want it then give it to them

I went to Southampton’s old ground, the Dell, for a Boxing Day fixture against Bristol Rovers c1977. I was on the terraces under the top tier which was seating. I banged my head on the ‘ceiling’ and it hurt FFS! There was so little headroom that I reckon that Snow White and the seven dwarves would have had a problem.

At Liverpool I managed to walk back through the wrong row (the one behind) so had an interesting climb over the safe standing (but not climbing) barrier. Fortunately there were a few people to help me.

Personally think the only need for it at Brighton is a) they start to enforce a non-standing in seated area policy b) that it can be constructed to increase the density of the crowd i.e. apply a 1 to 1:5 factor not the one 1:1. There would still be more 'personal' room than there was at say Luton. Personally would possibly do away with seats and reconstruct areas for standing.

I sit in WSU in front row with an excellent view so won't be moving but I am quite happy standing at away games.
