Can't see Russia offering any genuine concessions, so will be interesting to see what happens when Trump realises it is only Ukraine interested in peace. The C**t will still probably blame Ukraine and NATO for provoking Putin

Trump already knows what both countries want. Putin wants peace with Ukraine when Ukraine is part of Russia. Only short term peace of course, while he prepares for the next invasion.

Ukraine have no need to surrender, so Trump won't like anything they say. I hope they don't really offer anything, they simply ask Trump to show what his plan is.

And all the nonsense about NATO expansion being the reason, well which is the prime country in NATO...the US, but somehow it's Ukraine's fault for asking, wtf. It's all made up nonsense.
NATO expansion is the genuine threat, but not for any other genuinen reason other than it curbs Russias imperial lust to subjugate its neighbours and stops them invading...... that's why they insist no NATO, no other reason.

I think Trump already knows this. It would explain the performative bullying of Ukraine as an attempt to force them to accept Russian terms.
Which isn’t going to work as Putin has nothing to offer. Trump wants natural resources and Putin wants to keep what he’s got ….

Putin is desperate to put the band back together..look at his terminally dull writings on the issue..yet it’s apparently NATO that has the expansionist tendencies..hopefully he’s taken out by a self driving Tesla soon.

Yes, and he'll blame Biden because NATO was under him at that time (I know it was a European head, but the US acts the boss of NATO and clearly are) - so, there will be no continuity of US responsibility for anything when the administration changes...nice one...

Not directly on topic, but it starts the day off nicely.

Tesla shares down 15% since yesterday, and down 50% since their December peak.

Edit:

"Maybe it is their intention to break the economy. Elon Musk said last year that it is easier to bankrupt the US and start over than fix the problems. Could be a plan behind all this madness, and it ain't any good for regular people."

I don't know. Presumably in their arrogance, they didn't see the pushback coming from the American people, the markets, Canada, Ukraine and Europe.

I can't imagine that Elon Musk saw the pressure his three businesses - Tesla, X and Starlink would be coming under.

It's a howling mess, and they're only 7 weeks in. A highly toxic combination of arrogance, ignorance and incompetence.

It is indeed - the markets hate volatility.
I hope that Tesla, X, Space X, any Big tech supporting Trump era, US markets in general suffer...with the caveat of hoping NSCers don't get stuffed on the way.

Thank you for the sentiment, but alas I've already been stuffed. We live in a globalised world, so our pension and ISA holdings will be down unless they are all in fixed income assets. There's a lot to be said for them while Trump is still alive.

I’m waiting for the ‘let them eat cake’ moment.

Forget MAGA hat wearing rednecks
Forget Musk’s trillions
Forget all the bluster and the yee-haw grandiosity.

Once that orange twat starts costing corporations big dollar, he’s a goner.
It’s all about the money. If the US goes into recession then they’ll be hell to pay.
