Good. I wonder why though?
Starlink shareholders or Rubios office on the phone to him after insulting the Polish foreign minister?

"Sober up you f***ing idiot and retract that stuff a) before you wipe billions off this company too b) before you ruin relationship with a NATO ally"

Then this hours later.

Maybe our favourite Nazi doesn't have all the cards anymore 🤔

So, US and Ukraine are meeting today. I fear more negativity from the US. Surely for any peace deal they need to meet Russia as well. Yet apart from Trump saying he finds them easier to deal with - we hear nothing of any peace discussions. Putin shows no sign of wanting peace or any compromise. So, will today just be pressurising Ukraine to give up their land? And when they say 'no' Trump will blame them for no ceasefire.

Ah, a small grain of truth sandwiched between some giant lies.

I’ve encountered people in my life far more skilled and practiced at thought reform than you.

Which is really a greater threat to my culture and way of life? It’s you and your ilk, with your lies, manipulation and dog whistles. More so than thousands of Muslims minding their own business.

My life has been improved by getting to know people from other backgrounds. My wife would be dead were it not for the care and dedication of immigrants who came here to work in the NHS.

Take your filth some place else.
Where’s the dog whistle………….Europol are pretty clear on the position.

You may believe that the people who live in Europe’s are concerned about the threat of Russia/Ukraine’s plight more than anything else, I simply disagree with that view.

I’m glad you life has been improved by getting to know people from other backgrounds, and that your wife is alive because of immigrants.

It doesn’t change the overall position, and the point I made about Tusk. If as leader of that country he understood that everyone’s lives would be genuinely improved ecomically and socially because of unfettered migration of people from different backgrounds Poland would be on its way to being another multicultural paradise. He’s not though, quite the opposite, so you can make your own mind up about that.

That last sentence.

I remember watching Elon in an interview in Dubai or some such place in about 2017. He was asked what his greatest challenge was. He answered to the effect that (at that stage) he was surrounded by people who agree with him. They all told him what they thought he wanted to hear. So he never got good, honest feedback. Until he got feedback from people who don't work for him.

Maybe being wealthy and powerful is self regulating.
In this case I hope it's life threatening

And he will the world believe?

The Saudi’s like most of the Middle East are very much about decorum when’s it comes to meetings and their guest. Whilst the Saudi’s aren’t adverse to shouting they expect their guests to act with decorum. Trump will have to because he has to and because he’s coward. Trying to be the centre of attention will not go down well.

There’s a little part of me that wonders whether the Saudi’s might pull the rug from under his feet. On Jan 5th the US was the super power everyone wanted to please, now everyone is doing their level bests to ween themselves of them.

@cunning fergus I’d be interested to know what you think about this.
Reform are fvcked and you’re pissing in the wind on here

Fair enough, and to be honest I don’t think Reform have a different policy view on Russia and the Russian crisis to the other political parties? If they do I’ve not heard it however it doesn’t matter much because a) Labour are in power and b) an election is 4 years away.

Unpopular as it is on here, it’s likely (I hope) that a truce or peace is reached in Russia so the issue in 4 years may be a secondary political matter at that point. If it’s not let’s see what they come up with and whether it is likely to get traction with the public.

What I think would gain traction is recognition that the U.K. is no longer a major military power and we need to cut our cloth accordingly on the world stage. If the U.K. political establishment want to remain at the top table and reset the military position this should not be more tax, something has to give. I may be pissing in the wind on here with that hope.

Is Trump even going to be there? Zelenskyy is meeting the Prince but is not joining the talks.

IMO this will still be about trying to force Ukraine to agree to territorial concessions, because the Americans believe that Putin will reject anything less.

Publicly, that is what the Russians are indicating. The Ukrainian (French?) plan for a temporary air and sea ceasefire has already met with a negative response.

There is little point in Ukraine signing any US deal as things stand, they can’t trust the word of either.

Talking bollocks again, well at least you are consistent.

Everyone is concerned about Putin because he cannot be trusted and Ukraine would not be the last incident. Only the terminally stupid would not be concerned!
BTW, Whats your view of the European 800 million euro militarily assistance programme that you said wouldn’t happen?
oh and the Russian breakout in Kursk that failed, I thought you said that Ukraine was just waiting to fall to the might of the Russian military. I am particularly impressed by the Russian army desire to be ’green’ and use horses and bikes to move men and kit. Most impressive.

A report a few weeks back had Farage banging his head against the wall as 30% of Gb news viewers were pro Trump and by default and the teaming 70% want Putin to be defeated. Farage has it a clue and I suspect a bit nervy over the arrest of one of his Brexit and reform mates for corruption in the form of accepting Putin money for spreading misinformation on behalf of Putin. The fact the Farage spent time on the Russian equivalent of the bbc slagging of the uk must make him twitchy.

Before the second world war the British’s army was in a shit state (loads of troops but really shit kit, sound familiar?, the air force wasn't much better but by necessity the situation was corrected. if it needs to be done, it will be done.

NSC’s very own Lord Haw Haw.

Guess which member only started posting in September 2024 and has only ever commented on political threads? I wonder why they chose to be an 'NSC Patron' - maybe to seem more legitimate? 🤔

Trying to drag the thread onto culture and immigration again ?

Well that was totally unexpected

Gram Slattery is White House Reuters reporter.

Based on stories like these, it seems pretty clear that if they were given unfettered power the Trump administration would 100% throw Ukraine under the Russian jackboot and have no qualms about doing so. That they seemingly cannot and are being rowed back by others (whoever they may be) is unquestionably a good sign.
