Indeed. Now could we get NATO boots on the ground in Ukraine please ?
That would be clear and obvious escalation, so it won't happen officially.

That said, unofficially I'd be confident that some NATO boots (special forces) are already on Ukraine soil, the likes of you and I will always be told that's not the case.

Absolutely brilliant news and about Feckin time.

Even so, more Republicans voted against the package to Ukraine than for it.

How is it, that so many brain dead morons get voted into positions of power.
Have they never read a history book? Do they honestly think that Putin will stop of his own accord??
Now Europe needs to really step up again!
Maybe Hungary and Slovakia should be given ultimatums on their EU membership.

As @sparkie has just explained, the US has already cut aid to Ukraine
Not yet 😉

Well done Speaker Johnson for standing up to Trumpists in the House. All these delays because of partisan politiking over border control - it is really crucial for Ukraine that there are clear majorities in the House and Senate after the Election so a minority of far right (or far left) congressmen can not hold either side to ransom like this.

“Expressing gratitude, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said: "Democracy and freedom will always have global significance and will never fail as long as America helps to protect it."

Let’s hope anticipated Russian interference in the upcoming Election to support Trump’s run for the WH is dealt with swiftly and thoroughly by the security agencies. Trump’s/MAGA’s ambivalence towards Ukraine has emboldened Russia for too long - how people can’t see how damaging Trumpists (and dating back decades, Trump minions, Rudi Giuliani and Paul Manafort ) have been toward Ukraine for years is beyond me.

Amongst all the aid for Ukraine drama, one person has been conspicuous by his absence - Trump.

After an early toning down of his resistance to Ukraine aid, there has been a deathly hush surrounding him. It's almost as if he is preoccupied with something else, and he hasn't got the energy or bandwidth to focus on anything else. Is he withdrawing from the world?

We can only pray he is going to crawl under the rock where he came from.

Yes, maybe a number of things 🤔
- thinking about court cases
- wondering how to finance his next bail bond
- realising that Johnson's separation of the bills would probably work
- noticing that MTG is getting a lot of flack and bad press for her (and so Trump's ??views)
- playing to the gallery (and the media) during his court time that he's balanced, calm, not a threat to democracy ...

Reports suggesting that while docked at Sevastopol, the 111 year old ship Kommuna intercepted a Neptune missile. Laid down in 1912 and launched in 1913, it is (potentially was?) a submarine service and salvage ship in service with the Russian Navy's Black Sea Fleet, and the world's oldest active duty naval vessel.

Overview

How fitting, a submarine service and salvage ship, is now being salvaged as an out of service submarine!

Yes, all of those. I also saw a Bloomberg headline (the article was behind a paywall) that his Trump Media company shares are being cratered by short sellers.

I think I read his shares were free... but I guess if the value plummets it'll become an asset he can't borrow against.
They were heading towards oblivion a few days ago, but since then have recovered a bit as people saw value in them at the basement price.
