'Russia plotted terror attacks on airlines around the world' - Donald Tusk.

Edit: I was going to post the link, but it has disappeared.

Really ? Can you give me an example?
Ok, I'll bite.....

How about the " Spontaneous " uprising in Crimea by the little green men who individually bought arms, ammunition, matching uniforms and radios and without guidance or leadership, seized key positions overnight ?

This is apparently what Putin will be demanding in the forthcoming peace talks. He is being a tad hopeful.

So most of the 'demands' are mad, as one would expect. But this was interesting:
"Putin, according to them, also insists that Russia retain at least de facto control over 20% of Ukrainian territory captured by the army during the three years of war. Moscow is reportedly open to some "territorial exchanges," the agency's sources said, as Ukrainian forces continue to control hundreds of square kilometers of Kursk region, which Ukrainian troops attacked in August."

So in Putin's demands, he's accepting Russia will give 80% of captured territory back? That's his starting gambit?

I think I could make up more believable demands within 5 minutes.

reckon that's missing "the", added before Ukraine. 20% is how much territory under Russian control.

I don't think Putin meant 20% of the occupied territory! He meant the 20% of total Ukrainian territory, that the occupied territory constitutes. And he thinks it amounts to 'over 20%' as well. He's over-playing his hand again. The 'territorial exchanges' is presumably a nod to Ukraine occupying part of Kursk.

Note that by using the term 'de facto', if he did indeed use it, he seems to acknowledge Russia does not have a legal right to the captured territories.

de facto - 'existing or holding a specified position in fact but not necessarily by legal right'.
