It would seem so, yes.

A member of Trump's team gets a contract with Ukraine? Already? I assume there isn't a mirror contract with Russia...
Is this Trump and his team already doing the deals with a future Ukraine?

Does this augur well for the peace deal? Yes, I think it does.
Yes, that's my feeling too - hope we're not getting too optimistic.
Could be Trump's team helping Ukraine to get into a better shape whatever the outcome of talks.

There are some awful colour clashes of clothes with the brown and orange flags. Don't these people have an ounce of respect for fashion?
At first I expected more Chinese people, so that the protest would appear real, but apparently Russia ethnically cleansed them all out after it annexed the area, so its all good.

According to a BBC report yesterday, quoting Defence Intelligence, Russia lost an average of 1523 men per day in November. That's just over one man every 60 seconds.
This is interesting.

48000 letters from family/friends looking for missing soldiers. So thats 48,000 who arent already confirmed dead or injured but have just vanished.

The numbers Putin has thrown to their deaths for his imperial fantasies will be truly mind boggling when it all comes out one day.

More maskirovka bollocks. Like that bloke who phoned up Maria Zakharova in the middle of a speech.

It's all planned.

I knew I'd seen it somewhere before. Here is another time recently where migrants have been blamed:

'State Duma deputy Mikhail Matveev blamed migrants for the ruble’s fall: “Millions of migrants in Russia are taking money they earned out of our economy, sending it back to their homeland.” He added that migrants and their diasporas buy tens of billions of dollars annually from Russian banks, artificially stimulating demand for foreign currency and causing the exchange rate to rise.'

Joe Bloggs is reporting a ~20% fall in the Russian Stock market this year. Admittedly it’s a bit of a Mickey Mouse market and a white knuckle ride at the best of times, but it’s good to see another plate, amongst many, that Putin needs to keep spinning

Good to see the context.
However, we know a lot of the military 'aid' was instead of expensive decommissioning of outdated weapons...so there's always a path there for Trump if he wants.
'Probably'.

The message is clear. Trump is hopeful, leaving his options open for aid to be reduced or remain the same according to the way the wind is blowing.

Reduce aid to Ukraine if Russia plays ball. Keep it the same if Russia doesn't. It also gives the US leverage if/when Russia tries again at some point.

We will see if it succeeds...
