Likely be blamed on Ukraine, an excuse to bomb them even more.

Likely be blamed on Ukraine, an excuse to bomb them even more.
Or clamp down on gatherings/postpone the presidential elections indefinitely.

Options seem to be
A) repeat of 1999 where the FSB blew up apartment buildings in a false flag operation
to either
i)blame it on Ukraine as an excuse to go harder, step up conscription, use more devastating weoponry etc
ii) justify stamping on Chechnya/Dagestan/Georgia border areas to suppress growing discontent in the area

B) Legitimate threat from Ukrainian separatists / Russians who fled when the first round of conscription was announced

C) quell civil unrest in the major cities before it has a chance to spread and take hold

D) least likely, UAF doing something stupid

Saw something on Twitter earlier...FSB special forces killed a suspected " Terrorist " in possession of alleged UK explosives and a US detonator. Event was conveniently filmed by a handy TV crew. ...an obvious set up. I am only surprised the alleged terrorist did not have a hand written letter wishing him good luck from Joe Biden in his hand.

Again, I assume it is all intended for the domestic Russian audience. The fact that we in the west respond with a 'wtf?', only serves to highlight how low an opinion the Kremlin must have of the Russian people. They expect them to believe the story.

Really ?

That would be silly, everyone knows he can't write, his hands are to shaky now.

Back to business, everyone 👍

Jeez at this rate they’ll just have to ban smoking everywhere if they can’t trust the populace to dispose of them properly once lit

I have a confession to make. I am the less-than-proud owner of a geography degree from Portsmouth Polytechnic, now the University of Portsmouth (Don't go there - it's progress).

This degree is no good to man or beast. But a strange manifestation of it, is that each time I hear of or see a new place in Russia, that I've never heard of, I feel compelled
to google where it is.

This fella Khanty-Mansiysk is waaaay out in the Siberian sticks, north east of Yekaterinburg, itself some 1800km east of Moscow.

I firmly believe that Ukraine is now showing off.

Must be local partizans, you'd think 🤔.

Geography is the subject I should have done at Uni....

Distance Kharkiv - Khant-Mansiysk - 3264.9km.

Either Ukraine have improved their drone batteries even more, or you have to assume it is partisans. Or local (ish) Ukrainians.
You've got to assume there is a flourishing network of partisans or ethnic Ukrainians, who are motivated, able and willing to launch attacks across Russia.

Russia can't possibly protect all its infrastructure across its vast area, to stop these attacks.
Whatever happens in the ground war in Ukraine, this is likely to continue. It is very good news.

Yes, all of that 👍.
I can't imagine their drones are that far reaching yet...but then I'm not an engineer, so haven't a clue.
So, partisans, locals...whoever, whatever, thank you very much!!
Could even be total incompetence on behalf of the local Russian maintenance teams...all causes are welcome 👍 .

Julio Enciso will be going to Russia with Paraguay this month on the 25th and seeing as Paraguay signed the UN sanctions against Russia yet still engages in sports events with them, whilst other teams refuse to do so, it's kind of hypocritical.

That's very sad - I expect Russia is paying Paraguay enough to be part of this sports washing event ☹️

Can he/should he refuse to go to Russia? Could we /should we insist on him not travelling to Russia?
Has to come from the club or could put his international future in jeopardy. Assume not backed by FIFA so we may be within our rights to stop him joining up especially as he's only recently recovered from long injury.
