To be honest that doesn't make them cowards what the f*** are they supposed to do if you say no your'e dead meat . And probably your family as well.

You disagree to your hearts content, but these people aren’t taking any personal risks, they’re hiding behind the state. Poisoning (for example) is not the act of a brave individual. People who work in intelligence know how to disappear. They have options.

Those responsible for Navalny’s death appear at present to be a quietly neglectful prison service, that allowed conditions to fester in which a person could die with impunity.

If I’m being asked to poison a politician, I might say yes, but what I’m actually doing is picking up my kids and heading out the country, and I’m not stopping to pack.

You’re painting these scumbags as victims of circumstance, held against their will. I hate to shake your worldview, but i suspect the guys they have doing this stuff do it knowingly and willingly, and consider themselves patriots as they do it.

As hilarious as that might be. And as embarrassing to would be to literally 99% of the population of the Earth. I have a hard time believing that this is it, or if this was it, that it continues to hold any sway.

I mean who, after all Trump has done (banging a porn star, paying off a porn star, kids kept in cages, blackmailing our allies, a literal insurrection), is going to look at that and decide that that is the last straw?

[Edit: actually, thinking about this more, I do think that maybe Trump gaying it up with somebody might actually hurt him. His whole persona is built around his fake machismo. If video emerged of him playing castanets with another man's balls...that might move the needle?

Former Louisiana Gov. Edwin Edwards once claimed that the only way he could lose an upcoming election was "if I'm caught in bed with either a dead girl or a live boy." - I wonder if that would apply to Trump?]

It’s horrific and so easily avoided but I think they are in the end game now. Putin’s tanks will crush Ukraine and move onto the next target.

If he goes for a NATO country it’s WW3.

Would attacking a Nato country lead to WW3 or would it be the end game for Putin? Assuming all Nato countries (and this assumes Trump is not in power I fear) stick to the basic principal of an attack on one is an attach on all, then Nato will wipe out Russian forces with ease. The balance of resources and technology is immense in favour of Nato. This would then be the end of Putin. The risk, of course, is Putin resorting to nuclear weapons but the mutual destruction argument remains and is why Putin hasn't resorted to them thus far.
Its a horrific line of thought that more war could lead to less but then history repeatedly makes this point whether in 1938/39 or when Putin invaded Crimea. Ultimately Nato has to stand up to Russia or as you say, Putin will move on to the next target and the next and the next..............

Why?

When he got on that plane he wasn't 100% sure he'd be arrested, incarcerated and now killed, though it was always a risk.

It was a cause so big, he was willing to lead by example and ultimately die for that cause.

You can't tell people to go on the streets, risk their lives and protest from Berlin.

As a Russian political figure trying to change the Russian political landscape it made sense, even though he's paid the ultimate price for that vision.
