I do like the google page he displayed at 08:57 with the heading 'Common rare earth minerals'. I like that a lot.

Anyway, my takeaways from that video are:

1. I can empathise with Jake Broe. I have a geography degree. In terms of getting a job, it was no good to man or beast.
2. Elon Musk is dangerous and needs to be reined in.
3. Amongst all the shit he throws about, sometimes Trump actually listens.
4. Zelensky may have pulled a master stroke in raising the prospect of a deal involving the (common) rare earths. His aim will have been long term security, and to preempt any deal for Russia to keep all (or quite possibly any) of the occupied territories. It would appear that Trump is on board. If true, this will be a devastating strategic defeat for Russia and Putin.

Yes, but if Ukraine don't get all of the Donbas back, I wouldn't want them having to give what little raw materials they do have from elsewhere.

Point is Putin should be forced to give back the Donbas.

Yes. He’s the perfect (in a bad way) combination of not being as clever as he thinks he is, having genuinely malevolent tendencies and being rich enough that he can make those things happen and people listen to him.
