Thanks for posting, I enjoyed that. I'm a Brand agnostic, I think he's acting in the wrong way for the right reasons. He'd do well to acknowledge some of the points this chap makes.

Russell Brand can't win at the moment can he, surely this blog is surely written by a PR company. Got bored after two paragraphs.

"As Brand himself said, he used to complain about inequality when he was poor, too – only then he got told he was bitter. Now he says it when he’s rich, he’s a hypocrite"

I'd be astonished if RBS or News International didn't have a hand in that

I don't really like Russell Brand, but I can't condemn him for fighting for causes he believes in just because he's rich, even if that puts him in some seemingly hypocritical positions - hard to avoid, you would think. I don't have sympathy for the banker either - he doesn't seem to understand what RBS has done to the wider economy, and the three people I know who work for RBS all live in very, very expensive houses, despite being mere accountants - a job which should be well-paid (in my opinion - I am one ), but not that well paid. The banker has written it very well though - not surprised it's reaching a wide audience. Find his attitude somewhat blinkered though. I'm a bit of a moaner, aren't I?

He may have gone about it the wrong way, on this occasion, but at least he's having a go. Who else, in the public eye, is using their celebrity to try and help?

He's an easy target because he's a bit different from the majority of dullards in the 'I'm alright Jack' camp.

Good luck to him, I say.

The media/red tops have really got it in for Brand at the moment. He has certainly ruffled a few feathers whether people like him or not.

Long been filed with that other hypocritical champagne socialist Bono as a c*** of the highest order.

Tedious stuff - the only missing irony was accusing Brand of being long-winded, but perhaps the RBS PR team got that on the last edit

That started off really well, pretty funny, but by the end, and yep it was long, sounded like the usual Russel Brand 'long words' 'champagne socialist' arguments. 6/10
