Maybe you need to look up 'angst'. Surprised and disappointed that McConville has gone; Taylor Richards and Hayden Roberts were rightly moved on, fairly and reasonably. They clearly weren't up to the standard to make ot through to the first team with us, and we let them go at a decent level for them to have careers. It seemed strange that Samuels never got loaned out to see how he faired in the big bad world before he was released, but there it is; he's been found a decent job elsewhere - for all the derision spouted on here, playing in the SPL ain't a bad life!
Offiah hasn't left, you know; he's doing very well on loan and it will be interesting to see what we do with him next; another loan to a higher level (with suitable adjustments made to his contract situation) looks a good option - but who knows what the club will decide?
As for Ayari, he had two very unimpressive loans - and neither Coventry or Blackburn supporters had much good to say about him (and I'm being kind there). Of course nobody would have been devastated had he just been moved on in the summer - instead we all had the pleasant surprise that he suddenly blossomed into a very usefu member of the first team. I'm not sure how that part of your critical post justified?
Samuels joined League One Fleetwood Town on loan on February 1 last year - and made the grand total of 4 appearances.

It's simple really, the club knows best. People thought Ayari should go, people now seem to think McConville should stay. And it's an opinion that appears to be formed based on the recent results of the first team

My point re: Ayari was that nobody was shouting for him to be dumped, just that nobody expected him to break through to the first team this season.

Another “I’m not quite sure what the process is anymore” transfer to add to the bewilderingly scattergun approach of the last 18 months.
Why do you think it’s a scattergun approach? You might not agree with it, you might watch all the U21 matches, you might know all the contractual agreements, you might even know each players preferences……. But I bet you don’t know about each player better than those working for the club and making these decisions.

Some decisions may prove to be wrong, but they won’t be deliberately wrong.

I’m told to trust the process on here by people that don’t know what the process is any better than I do. How is what I’m saying any different? In fact, how is it any different to what you trying to argue?

In simple terms though, we keep getting rid of promising youngsters. Maybe he’s not ready, maybe he is. If he isn’t though, why was he ever on the bench?

Ed Turns was a more likely candidate to follow Samuels and Peupion out of the door than McConville! He is 22, has already had one and a half seasons of League 1 and 2 experience, and his contract is up in the summer. Although an excellent CM in PL2, it wasn't looking likely he'd break through to the first team - the fact that McConville made the bench ahead of him reinforced that likelihood.
Surprised there hasn't been some development for him - one way or another - this window.
You were saying………😂

McConville has signed a contract with Norwich through to June 2030 - that's a five-and-a-half year deal. That is a HUGE commitment by the Canaries for a lad who has played the grand total of 20 minutes at first team level (excluding international action, of course).

I guess when a team demonstrates it wants you to that degree it must be very tempting.....
