The forum such a great place to wander around in Rome, esp out of season

Just been sent a picture of very long queues for the shuttle buses. Don’t hang around too long anyone over there if that’s your transport method

I love Rome.
Amazing to go around on a bus or taxi and see so much green spaces and everywhere you go, you will see bits of exposed Roman history some of it 2000 years old!

I did a guided tour of the Colosseum, Forum and Palatine. Amazing experience.

Yes to beer.

Security is very thorough - 3 searches, 2 ID checks plus the ticket barrier. Can't say it takes long though.

Yes. They even have people selling bottles in the stands itself

Last time I was there was the 1996 European Cup Final between Juventus and Ajax. Was walking back to my hotel very late at night and got a bit lost. Heard footsteps behind me and turned round to discover it was Howard Kendall and his wife. Lovely couple.
