always gave 110% - but to recieve £150k for a third choice striker is a bloody good bit of business

didnt see him much whilst i have been working away from the uk in last couple of years but the few games i did see revell play i was quite impressed with him. shame to see him go but it does look good money. we wont know how good we have done in the transfer market until new players have had the chance to settle in and hopefully prove their worth.

Good business from the club and Mcghee - you can't argue with 100k+ profit

However, i reckon this could shoot us in the foot a bit. Yes, he's not great...but he 'does a job'. All League 1 teams need squad players - he is certainly capable of being one of them, and chipping in with a few goals if Forster/Murray are injured.

Now though our back-up is Elder (poor), Gatting (poor), and Aldershot man (unproven). If the Aldershot bloke doesn't deliver (55k - BIG risk for a non-league man) then we're going to be spectacularly thin up front.

Cant see that we are any worse off than 3 weeks ago as Murray has obviously been bought to replace Revell so we still have Elder as we did then and have added Dixon.

Thomson to replacer Hammond and added McFaul so overall we are better off. Just need a winger and a goalkeeper.
