We’ve got to go into the new season with adequate cover for every position, we got away with not having enough cover in forward positions between Aug & Jan this season but might not be so lucky next time. If players are not good enough for the PL they need to be shipped out.

We have a real opportunity to get in new cover or better still upgrade the first team. We will have vavancies in most key positions from players leaving who haven’t been playing

Striker - Hemed
Winger - Skalak
Central midfield - Sidwell
Central defender -Hunemeier
Left or right back - Rosenior
Goalkeeper Maenpaa?

Sometimes it's sad but letting the players know earlier gives them a chance to move and get settled.
Hoping that we are more attractive to new players as we had a lot of exposure this season.
Now for the rumours.

Hope it's not a goodbye tweet. I would want Krul as our no.2 next season (Sanchez no.3) - Krul is an HGP; sadly time for Maenpaa to go, but at least hopefully he'll go somewhere where he'll actually get a regular game.

Tend to agree. The only thing I would say is that Bournemouth away aside, Krul has looked decidedly shaky.

Will Baldock and Suttner want to stay given their limited game time?

Walton won the Golden Glove in League One so there is no way he is going to spend next season in our U23 or No.2 spot.
Wigan want to have him again next season in the Championship but his performances has alerted more than one other Championship Side.
At least with Wigan he is guaranteed the No 1 spot.
Ideally Club would keep Krul but when I saw Krul's tweet and picture this morning I wondered if this was a good bye picture?

Is Matty wearing heels or is it paintshop ?

After last weeks argus article I am expecting Krul to sign shortly.

We may want a HGP as 3rd keeper and that would mean goodbye to Maenpaa.

Ince is clearly gone.

Players often do. Don't know if it's because they're at a good club, with their mates, are treated well, well paid and they remain optimistic of selection?

But I can't see Baldock and Suttner getting PL game time, and I agree with your questioning.

Surprised there's no news on our keepers yet

3rd Saturday in May is certainly the deadline for EFL clubs. I don't know for sure about the Premier League as their retained lists from previous seasons don't have a date on them, but it would make sense that it was the same day.

On the subject of Ritchie Towell, I watched him playing in the playoff game last night vs. Scunny. He looks strong, very skilful and a good head on him.

I'd suggest keeping him on loan but in the bank because he's clearly turning into a great player down in the boonies.

Tim Krul's 5 year old daughter had a leaving party last week. Back to Holland apparently
Announcement imminent that he has gone, presumably ? no reason to keep it quiet ?

I suspect that if Krul goes, it would mean Walton would definitely stay in the 25 man squad, and be looking to be 1st pick when Ryan is at the Asia Cup.

Maenpaa may not be happy at being pick 3, though.

Is that just the life of a loanee, especially a guy who has become a career reserve? That whenever the season ends, the kids do have a "goodbye party" as they simply do not know where they are heading for next school year.

Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if he wants a bit of stability and if that means lower wages but back in his homeland to bring his family up, then that's where he's instructing his agent to look.
