Yes.
Why are the mods allowing it?

If we do we should also ask Germany to pay the majority of Europe a lot of compensation for all the issues they caused over the WW1 & 2
Sure but we still would have done if other countries were in the same position and did not use slaves and have an advantage over us.We wouldn't have become the world's leading industrial nation without the slave trade.
My wife, and therefore my kids, have Guyanan ancestry. Are they owed compensation?
The answer is no, because they can't prove their lives would have been better without there being a slave trade two hundred years ago.
I often drive past the Drax estate on my way to other parts of Dorset and always find a little bit of anger about it.Missing the point a little, our country and Economy benefitted off slavery and should give back. Even today people are direct benefactors from slave plantations like this piece of filth:

The 100 billions or trillions that would be involved ain't gonna happen, it's a total non starter. You can't pay back like that for things that happened long ago.Glad the issue of reparations is being discussed again at the Commonwealth summit. I want Britain to formally apologise for it's part in the slave trade and reach agreement with the colonised countries for reparation payments
Global calls for reparations are only growing louder. Why is Britain still digging in its heels? | Hilary Beckles
The issue is on all our minds at this week’s Commonwealth summit in Samoa. Now is Keir Starmer’s chance to address it, says Caricom Reparations Commission chair Hilary Beckleswww.theguardian.com

"£18 Trillion less for the NHS" written on the side of a bus ?Let's just have a referendum and accept the outcome as we did with Brexit
Best the French apologise and pay for 1066 then.Glad the issue of reparations is being discussed again at the Commonwealth summit. I want Britain to formally apologise for it's part in the slave trade and reach agreement with the colonised countries for reparation payments

How can there be an apology for people who had no desire to do so while they were here ? History needs to start looking forward and not back. On a personal level I would refuse to apologise for something I have nothing to do with.An apology on behalf of our ancestors will suffice. No payments unless we demand payment for all the lost Navy men and for ending the slave trade across the empire.
I suppose with the advent of goal technology we'll have to apologise for 1966 now.Best the French apologise and pay for 1066 then.
