Or a loyalty payment to the English leagues of £100m.

This sounds fair, but I wouldn’t put it past some of the clubs to use it as an opportunity to be able to play more games outside of Europe. Perez is still very much of the mind that he wants a Super League, and given way they’ve acted it wouldn’t be surprising if he used any ban as ammunition in future. Definitely not the last we’ve heard of the idea.

Any punishment hurts the fans, there is no way to avoid this. Perhaps it will then make more fans protest against their owners.

However it is understandably very difficult for fans to have a voice when most owners are pumping in millions each season to keep the club afloat and competitive.

Force the owners to sell. All 6 clubs on the market at the same time means the owners will get a fraction of the club's true value. Minimal impact on fans and club but a *huge* kick in the teeth for the owners. (Oh, and make the Glazers take all the debts with them rather than leave them in the club).

This is good. Though I'd probably give 3 points for a defeat, none for a draw or win. Like a football version of Pointless. The team who gets the most points can get promoted back into the Premiership the next season whilst the one with the least can have a trophy. That'll confuse them

How about the 14 play the next season and bottom club goes into a play-off with three of the "Big Six". All 14 compete in the League Cup, FA Cup etc

The "Big Six" play each other 8 times (40 games each ) and the bottom three in their league in a play-off semi final and final with the bottom club of the 14. The single winning team stays in the Premiership....the other three are relegated. None of the "Big Six" take part in the League Cup or FA cup.

Wembley chances for the loyal 14, no Wembley for the "Big Six" ( Not even for the play-off relegation games...to be played at a non league ground ) with no fans or revenue.

Integrity is there. Punishment is there. For those relegated, their loyal players who of course wont ask for a transfer can ply there trade for at least a year in the Championship.

What rules have they broken?

While I can understand the desire to punish the clubs, without rule breaking any punishment would be appealed and overturned so is pointless.

Have they not brought their respective leagues into disrepute ?

Put there six in a league playing each other. Then American each fixture to the max ... games to last 5 hours each, 5 min advert breaks every throw in or free kick etc. Water breaks every 10 mins with advert breaks. Bring in a regulator and licence English clubs. Have a condition of the licence that they can only play in approved competitions.

Ban the 12 from European competition for 1 season.

The biggest 'punishment' is the fans of the Big 6 knowledge that their clubs would sell them down the river. What will now take place is a potentially protracted exits by the owners, and if this doesn't happen a slow 'death by a thousand cuts' relationship between the fans and the owners. ( maybe City and Chelsea will escape the worse due to the previous level of investment into the clubs'. )
However, Liverpool and United in particular will now have very fractured clubs where you can see the owners wanting to exit. In that situation why would you, as an owner, invest in the club by way of a significant transfer kitty.
The most important penalty to impose will be the 'lack of trust' in their CEOs at committee level meaning so they have little influence in major decisions. They need to be on a very short rein.
Any big fine, points penalty, ban will just impact short term and will be seen as a penalty on the fans, which would be a PR disaster.
The best thing to come out of all this is that the whole football world has seen just how corrupt these owners are. They've shown their hand big time and now they will have to deal with the shame and the fall out, rather than move forwards without that burden like the other 14.
