I do not care about LFC at the moment,

But come kick off it will br the most important thing in my mind for 90 mins. I will scream and sing and demand a win.
Then it's all down to dirty Leeds

Looking at the bigger picture the Liverpool game is far less important than any league match but, having said that, it is a chance to pit ourselves against one of the top Premier League sides in front of a sell out crowd & that aint to be sniffed at.

Not important but will be a "big" night, first full stadium and it's against one of the big boys. Incidentally teams we have played at the Amex in red or black kits we have beaten so far.

I also disagree, can't even use the excuse of FA Cup magic, it's the poor mans FA cup. Would happily take a 9-0 pasting off them for all 9 points against LCFC LUFC and CPFC.

Why not aim a bit higher and win all 4?

the slugs is the biggest game since we last played the slugs.

nothing comes close imo

If things go well this season there will be much bigger games than Palace.

Come on, it's the one game we cannot lose. By default it means that it's the biggest game.
Unless, of course, we play them in a Play-off semi.

Obviously I want to win it but I hope there are many bigger games than Palace towards the end of the season. The home win over Watford to secure promotion will be much bigger.

I think we where here last season with all the talk about league being more important than the cup and Gus fielding weaker sides for the cup. I always feel you should put out your strongest available side what ever the game, nothing like match practice.

They are all important to me and I'm sure the players / club. Wouldn't it be great to get some "cup fever" around the club and dream of a day out to Wembley.

Your so pre occupied with Palace it seem all your postings are in someway always connected with the Palace game,
Club rivalry is on thing but yours is bordering on obsession. Even to the point you stated if Murray got hit a bottle, "it would make my day" !! that is not the thinking or a rational fan, but someone obsessed with a rival team.
Liverpool are a better team playing a better standard of football with better players with a better history.
where as Palace, we will be playing them twice this season, when will we next get to play Liverpool.

Mate, they are are rivlas yeh, rivals.

The Liverpool game is in the league cup, they will rest untold players, and i fully expect Gus will lighten his somewhat.

If we beat Liverpool, lovely great result, if we dont beat them who actually cares, seriously, were not expected to.

If you would rather lose to Palace in the league, than Liverpool in the league cup it really does speak volumes about how your priorities are all wrong mate.

Were you at the 5-0??

Its like when when my bird tries to talk football, bless her she tries to engage but in the end she just dont get it.

Nor do you it seems.

Good grief - it's called a different opinion !!!!!! Where exactly has he said he would rather lose to Palace ?

For what it's worth I consider the NEXT game the biggest game and after the next game has been played the most important game after that is the next one to be played.

If Liverpool is a bigger game, he would rather lose the less big one surely.

Aint gonna bicker about it.

The interesting thing about this squad is that in terms of the midfield we do not really have a "weaker" side, we have a different. I would expect that with Noone, Lua Lua, Buckley, Dicker, Bridcutt, Navarro, Sparrow, Harley AND Vicente in the squad it is this area of the team that will be rotated along with one of Hoskins, CMS or Barnes not playing all three games.

We will be able to play significantly different teams in each of these fixtures without them being noticeably weaker. Poyet's penchant for stockpiling midfielders at the expense of other areas has a compelling logic to it. The team can still take the Liverpool game 'seriously' without it affecting the league games.

Whilst it would be great to win all three, I'd value wins in the league games higher than the League Cup, and the Palace game above all. I cannot understand why any Albion fan would think otherwise.

What is with all this arguing and arrogantly trying to shout someone else down for expressing their view that they are looking forward to the Liverpool game over Palace? No one should spend their life obsessing over some Club 50 miles away.

You would probably have to say Palace is more important in terms of the greater scheme of points and pushing for the Premier League. Liverpool is the glamour game though; they are one of the world's biggest clubs; if you look at their line-up versus Exeter City we can expect a pretty tasty line-up too for us to beat. As a few others have commented, hopefully the likes of Liverpool coming down to the Amex will be the normal in the not so distant future.

On a side note, WHEN we make it to the Premier League I hope we do not become a Club that just dismisses competitions like the FA & League Cup. It is of course important to stabilise yourself in the top division but football is about winning competitions and days out at Wembley; Neil Warnock’s reaction to their League Cup defeat was pathetic and of huge disrespect to Rochdale!

QPR players, could they not handle another 5/6 games this season? What will Neil Warnock be remembered for in 20 years time; spending a shed load of money to finish 12/13th for five years running?! Alex McLeish will not be remembered for relegation at Small Heath in the long term, he will be remembered for winning them their first major trophy!
