When the free kick was taken as far as I could see not one Ecuador player was offside nor when the ball came off the keeper. It seems everyone bar the VARs thought it ok.

I rewound it to check - they definitely were not offside, either from the original free kick, or any touch afterwards. I have never seen a VAR decision like that.

Totally different. The offside in this game was apparently when the ball touched the keeper/player.
