This is probably the main reason I didn't bother with Europe and don't go to many away games now, I've got better things to do than be in the vicinity of these morons
2 rows of stewards like at the Amex and I doubt anyone would be causing troubleRemarkable stewarding, are they not allowed to intervene? Also I love the police holding back whatever, whilst half a dozen people hurl punches at each other behind their backs.
Yeh - tutting at people singing too loud - that really happens.I have to say one of these groups was next to me at Arsenal away and were the only ones in the area trying to get an atmosphere going. I'm more bothered by the people who stand for 90 minutes in silence with their arms crossed and tut at people for singing too loud.
Amazing to think that there was a time when it was totally accepted that most fans went to football to watch the game, rather than it all being about getting pissedThe beer thing is a right pain if you’re in the same row (I can manage to go 90 mins without a beer so the queues don’t affect me, so maybe I have a different view on that).
AEK tried to take liberties and got a few slaps.
I have seen it for sure... even in the SW at home games.Yeh - tutting at people singing too loud - that really happens.
You are @Pretty Plnk Fairy 's second account and I claim my £5
I'm confused. Are you genuinely complaining that our younger fans are annoying because they go past you to get a pint at half time? I can't help but feel you're reaching for something to be annoyed at them for. Every age group goes for a beer at halftime.Nah. The few small groups of t***s are abusive to fellow fans and don’t give a sh*t about whether they are impacting the enjoyment of others. It’s the nature of the slagging off of the players that’s different to what’s on here. Very different from someone on their phone or tapping away an angry post on their keyboard when they get home. The beer thing is a right pain if you’re in the same row (I can manage to go 90 mins without a beer so the queues don’t affect me, so maybe I have a different view on that).
Perhaps the Manure enforcer was in Athens defending the Albion’s corner against fkn continentals?
He was a busy busy man, saving the entire lower tier from missiles on the right side. Running to the left side to save a woman from a heart attack, moving back to the right to negotiate world peace then climbing round the netting in order to defuse a cluster bomb.Same. His bright top obviously makes him stick in a lot of minds. That and the fact he was behaving like an utter twat.
Arguably the stupidist post I've ever read on here. When was this time exactly? In the 70s and 80s when it was like the purge? In the 90s and early 2000s when half the players were functioning alcoholics and that was just accepted? Football and alcohol are and pretty much always have been inexplicably linked. To suggest that young fans have somehow introduced drinking is genuinely outrageousAmazing to think that there was a time when it was totally accepted that most fans went to football to watch the game, rather than it all being about getting pissed
Reminded me of this where the accused “tripped into penetration”"“I tried to assist someone in trouble and that person was an Athens supporter."
He ran into the Athen area to help a woman having a heart attack.....apparently. Did he also try the 'he headbutted my fist' line?
Itchy beardIf it was the guy in the orange, I remember thinking at the time he was being a complete bell. I love the "I was going to help a woman having a heart attack" excuse. Itchy beard.

amazingly there was a time when a significant minority thought going to football was really about having a fight .... times have changed thankfully and we have a thread about one individual (mainly) rather than 300....Amazing to think that there was a time when it was totally accepted that most fans went to football to watch the game, rather than it all being about getting pissed
The beer is just one small part of it, sorry if you’re confused. Mixed responses on here so you stand with your preferred type and I’ll stand with mine……give me someone prepared to talk sensibly about tactics than a coked up prick shouting ‘Lallana you useless ****ing ***t’ every 30 seconds every time.I'm confused. Are you genuinely complaining that our younger fans are annoying because they go past you to get a pint at half time? I can't help but feel you're reaching for something to be annoyed at them for. The stuff posted on here is more likely to get back to a player than anything said in an away end. I get why it's annoying but, again, every age group does it. Against Tottenham for example the middle aged bloke behind me was waffling on non stop about why our tactics were crap and why was De Zerbi not doing whatever. Really grating after a while. If I'm infront of the type of lads you're talking about at least I won't have to listen to tactical analysis for 90 f***ing minutes.
I can't speak to the abuse you're talking about but I can only say haven't seen anything like that this season. I'll also say we have some right grumpy gits following us who can be really short and ill tempered. I wouldn't rush to blame the youngsters 100% of the time. There are undoubtedly some twats amongst them but I really dislike the disdain shown on here sometimes.
Not buying this. It’s football. You let yourself go and have a laugh and sometimes cross the line of what you’d normally act like after a few beers. A few wanker signs and banging on a Perspex wall isn’t worthy of your comment - it happens everywhere and this is tame. Lighten up a bit imo. What an embarrassing bunch of old men we have “following” the Albion.
In the late 80s / early 90s when I started going away it was easy to split “types” of football fans. On the trains or in a mini bus or private coach you got pissed and did pretty much what you wanted. On the club coach it was much more sober and safer.Arguably the stupidist post I've ever read on here. When was this time exactly? In the 70s and 80s when it was like the purge?
