Very sorry to hear that and I hope he recovered fully and quickly. But this can and does occasionally happen in any town throughout the country but still doesn't make a difference to the statistics relating to crime in London. It doesn’t prove anything, but my son has lived in London for 5 or 6 years and was robbed/ mugged by 2 wa——s about 3 years ago, no knives involved , but nasty threats of violence if he didn’t hand over his phone, rucksack and wallet etc.
Not nice and pretty scary, so not everyone is ‘lucky’ in good old London Town.
,
Certainly by the time I reached my son's age I had been involved in a far greater number of violent episodes than him and that was in that 'leafy middle class suburb' Brighton. And with one notable exception none of those made any statistics as getting threatened, a few punches and money or stuff nicked wasn't unusual for a Saturday night in town back then.
