Just far enough away from LDC
For what it's worth, having him back on mystifies me. There are plenty of good vocal ex refs (Winter, Poll etc) that I do like listening to. Prosser isn't one of them.

However the usual binfest of NSC towards this programme is so pathetic. I wonder if TCB is another figment of Hove Inbred's imagination and he too lives in his attic.

I'm sure I've referred to 'my company' when I mention my Job, doesn't mean it is mine all mine. In fact I'm sure TCB has referred to 'my team', doesn't means he's Tony Bloom. And HB&B has referred to 'my friends' when it's patently clear he doesn't have any.

Me obviously Air Commodore Hove Born and Bred OF6.

You don't get any brighter do you:laugh:

Yet again you assume the universe revolves around you. I think most of us already ruled you out as RAF material.

I do understad a lot of your comments re Prosser. i felt the same at the time. Things have moved on now. Mr prosser understands the vitriol that is directed towards him from Albion supporters but is prepared to offer his time for REMF ( he was meant to be reffing the REMF match this year but couldnt as his daughter was ill). He is prepared to go into the stocks & have us lot throw stuff at him again for REMF.

I will ask him all the pertinent questions tomorrow. I wasnt doing the show last time he was on but i did listen. There will be no 'licking' from me!!!

Calling it an NSC binfest is a bit unfair; it's only about two or three people who moan. Everyone else accepts that it's Albion fans doing an Albion radio show and publicising it on an Albion messageboard.

Fourteenth eye: I really do want to know what action he took and what the outcome was.

We didn't realise the decision to have Phil Prosser on the show would be so unpopular so we've decided not to have him on now.

The Sheffield game represented the worst refereeing display in living memory from Mr Prosser, we all know refs make bad decisions all the time but Mr Prosser took that fact to another level. It was the first and only time I have watched a match where you actually felt the referee was deliberately biased and wanted Sheffield to win. The 2 penalty decisions were pathetic in the extreme that ensured their win.

However, the most striking incident in the match concerned Charlie Oatway. As we all know, Charlie was no wimp and certainly no playactor but after a really nasty challenge from a sheffield player that culminated in Charlie being seriously elbowed in the head/face, Mr Prosser tried very unsuccesfully to initially suggest that Charlie was somehow making a meal of it by trying to get him up off the floor. Charlie couldnt cos he was suffering and Mr Prosser was forced to wait while Charlie recovered. And then, and I`ll never forget this, he gave a free kick to Sheffield!!

The reaction of the crowd that day upon the final whistle was ferocious, with grown men kicking advertising hordings in frustration and causing a fracas eventually involving a few police near our dugout area. This was of course before he then employed a sickening and telling diversionary tactic accusing us of racism.

I kept an eye on Mr Prosser after that and would be in despair for a good year or two afterwards when opening the Sunday paper to find his name splashed in the main headlines of a match report for very similar occurrences to our match, managers in despair at what they had just witnessed. Penalties, cards and controversy abounded wherever he went. Was utterly relieved when he was shuffled off quickly after that. Cant think why anyone would want him on a radio programme but I`m sure his ego will love it, he even had his own website around the period he reffed our game. Yuk.

Jezzer,

The best post I've seen on NSC in the 10 or so years I've been
posting.

So pleased that Prosser has been axed. Pity it wsn't literally.

There'll be no "yo-ho-ho" for Prosser, because it was "no-no-no".

Oh and Prosser - you're off my christmas card list

You've spoiled their big surprise now!

Personally I wouldn't want him involved in the REMF game. I wouldn't want the game to turn into the Prosser show. After his display at the Sheff Utd game I don't want to have to feel obliged to thank him for giving up his time to support the REMF. Again, there are many former refs out there that may get involved if approached that I would be happy to give plaudits to for taking their time to help, but not him. He can very definitely go f*** himself. I'm actually amazed that anyone thinks it would be a good idea. I can't even see it swelling the crowd because these games are supposed to be good natured. I'm hoping that he won't be taken up on his offer for next year.

if prosser is appointed as ref for REMF, the thought of which repulses me,...I'm going to come along with and nick his boots....so he'll have ref in his Hush Puppies.
